Woot-woot! It’s here! Pumpkin season! I love food traditions, specifically those that change with the seasons. I think it’s because the seasons aren’t as apparent in Arizona, so changing what I eat helps me get in a festive mood. Because, when it’s still in the 90’s in October, you’ve got to find some way to get into the fall spirit.
If only the cacti could change the color of their thorns, but alas, they don’t. So instead I stuff my piehole with as much pumpkin as possible so my brain knows that it’s fall and the 120-degree weather has come to pass.
It’s tempting to buy every single pumpkin treat at Trader Joe’s but I know I’ll regret that later. So, instead, I thought I put a round up of all my favorite healthy HH pumpkin recipes to remind myself of all the yummy things that can be made with pumpkin!
