Woot-woot! It’s here! Pumpkin season! I love food traditions, specifically those that change with the seasons. I think it’s because the seasons aren’t as apparent in Arizona, so changing what I eat helps me get in a festive mood. Because, when it’s still in the 90’s in October, you’ve got to find some way to get into the fall spirit.
If only the cacti could change the color of their thorns, but alas, they don’t. So instead I stuff my piehole with as much pumpkin as possible so my brain knows that it’s fall and the 120-degree weather has come to pass.
It’s tempting to buy every single pumpkin treat at Trader Joe’s but I know I’ll regret that later. So, instead, I thought I put a round up of all my favorite healthy HH pumpkin recipes to remind myself of all the yummy things that can be made with pumpkin!

This is one of my go-to recipes, especially post run in the fall. Mostly because it’s a sweaty 90 degrees after a run and I’m craving a cold smoothie that tastes like fall. Other people must enjoy it too because the entire recipe and photos have been ripped off more times than I can count. Definitely give it a try!
This is one of the first overnight oats recipes I ever posted on the blog and it still one of my favorites! Plus it gives you an excuse to eat more pumpkin butter, what could be better than that?
I used to make this all the time when I didn’t work from home. It’s the perfect meal prep recipe and I still have readers tag me in their meal prep photos with this all the time, even though the recipe is so old! Oldie but goodie right? It’s also been featured in Today’s Dietitian for my other RD nerd friends out there!
