The bloggers worst nightmare happen to me, I found out that NONE of my posts for the last month went to ANY of my followers. ARGH $%#! Let me just say that I love blogging, I love everything about it. I love writing the posts, taking the photos, creating new recipes, sharing my life, sharing tips on wellness and health, I even love learning new things about how to maintain a blog. I just don’t like when I learn them a month after I should have. ARGH @#$@! I’m pretty proud of myself though, I figured out how to get my followers transferred and did not have a melt down in the process. For me that’s a bigtime win. I realize that with blogging it will never be perfect, it is kind of like working out. With exercise you set and you hit a goal, then you start a new one, you get a downfall like an injury, and then you build back up. I see a lot of similarities between that and blogging. You always want your readership to go up, you want more followers, comments are like blogger crack (you can never get enough), you want to know you’ve helped people through your writing in one way or another. The same process applies, you set goals and achieve them, then you look toward the next goal. Sometimes there are downfalls, like not knowing you need to transfer over your followers. You figure them out, learn a new skill in the process, then you look toward the next thing. Now that I figured it out (I think ha ha) thanks to google and this page, all my followers should start receiving posts again. I also found out you can email the WordPress support staff and they will transfer followers from wordpress.com to your self hosted account (as long as you have jetpack installed) for you.
ALSO,
“….while your email subscribers will continue to receive email notifications of new posts as before, WordPress.com followers will only see new posts in the Reader. They will not receive email updates unless they subscribe to receive those on your new site…”
So if you are a wordpress follower of mine that would like to receive post via email, please re-sign up on my new page. 🙂
Without to much more complaining here is link up of all the posts since I’ve moved my blog to my new self hosted site. If you haven’t checked it out yet please click through and see the new design!
