Happy FriYAY, friends!
First things, first! Thank you to everyone who took the survey! The winners of the gift cards have been emailed! (I don’t have names, just emails, and don’t want to post emails here for privacy reasons.)
How was your week? I keep seeing all these wonderful photos and IG stories of it snowing in places, it looks so pretty, but then everyone posting is also simultaneously b*tching about it, so hmmm. The weather is still nice here, which is good because I’m working on getting more consistent walks in with Nala for both our sakes, haha. I keep thinking to myself, how am I gonna walk this dog this summer before 8 AM with a newborn and a toddler?
BUT HOW?!?!?!?!? So, that’s where my thought process is at. Ideas are welcome!
Speaking of ideas, Mr. Hungry and Grandpa Hungry started renovating the guest/second bathroom. It’s a much smaller space than the Master, and we have most of the materials because we ordered them at the same time as we did the Master. Hoping it goes faster and with fewer or no setbacks than we had with the Master bath!
What else? Not a whole lot! Just getting ready for the semester, I’ll be teaching one lecture and two labs this spring at the local community college. The semester for my labs end early on 4/10, but the lecture ends 5/12, my due date is 5/8. Guesses on how that works out? Kal was induced at 41 weeks, sooooooo there is that. –> Flashback –>
This Week’s Meal Plan and Meal Prep Guide:
In case you missed it this week:
New on Youtube:
Food:
I tried a few new to me recipes this week I thought I would share! I was looking for “soft” meals to eat since I had mouth surgery last week, and these did not disappoint! The pictures aren’t that great because they were all taken after dark in yellow lighting then heavily edited, but I still wanted to share because they were so yummy!
Eggplant Parmesan via Cooking for Keepsakes
I’ve never made any eggplant parmesan before, so I had nothing to compare to but, we liked it! We made it with otamot sauce I received for a free sample! Nothing makes me want to try vegetarian recipes more than being pregnant! I’m much more tolerant of meat this time but still don’t mind skipping it at all.
Pancetta Pangrattato & Leek Pasta via Eating Well
This recipe was interesting, I totally thought it would have a cream sauce, but it didn’t really have a sauce at all! I used Banza pasta, but other than that followed the recipe pretty exactly. It was packed with tomatoes, leeks, walnuts, and pancetta.
Queso Chili
I shared more about this recipe in my DIL post, but we LOVED this one!
Fitness:
It’s interesting looking back on my fitness from last time with Kal at 22/23 weeks pregnant. Everything is recorded more heavily, and my dedication is a bit more solid to fitness. But this week I’ve been feeling good energy and great motivation, which is wonderful! So many of you said on the survey that you really love HH workouts! I’m so happy that in the past, when I’ve posted workouts you guys find them valuable!
That being said, as many of you know, I’m doing the Expecting and Empowered Program, and I don’t want to repost their workouts because not only is that copyright infringement, but it’s just wrong to do to another online creator. I highly recommend their workouts, and you can use the code HungryHobby10 to get a percentage off. However, I’m guessing many of you are not pregnant and therefore don’t want to buy those guides. Remember, until I start posting non-preggo workouts again, my Pinterest board has LOADS of workouts, and I also LOVE Aaptiv.
