Hey, friends! Today I thought I’d share some of the blogiversary reader survey results so that way you guys have an idea where HH is headed. I’ll also ask for some clarification in the comments and share the winner of the gift card!
Okay, let’s do this!
Demographics
I’ll just summarize the demographics for you. 100% female, which means my two male readers (Mr. Hungry and my FIL) did not take the survey, shame on them! I know I’ve got some male followers because they my male clients tell me they found me via the blog but I guess they didn’t take the survey. As far as the age group, the majority of you fall into the 19-39 groups, followed by 39-49, then 49-59, then 60+ years old. Totally makes sense to me because that follows the trend of blog readers in general. What really surprised me is that majority of survey responders don’t have children living in the home. I don’t know if I 100% believe that’s an accurate representation, maybe those of you with small children don’t have time to respond to surveys? Then again, it could make sense because this is a very personal blog and I don’t have kids yet…. I should have asked about fur babies!
Topics You Want To See More Of
- 70% of you said you wanted to see more Nutrition topics, what topics do you want to see?????
- 48% of you want to see more easy weeknight meals, so I’ll continue the one pan Mondays for the rest of the year then!
- 29% of you want to see more fitness related posts, do fitness Fridays count?
Topics You Want To See Less Of
- 36% of you want to see fewer drink recipes, that’s fine I don’t drink that much but do smoothies count?

As for nutrition posts? I’d like to see ideas on how to plan healthy meals WITHOUT counting calories, macros, etc. Like, what should you try to include in every meal and ideas for how to do that? Even how to balance meals throughout the day to make sure get get a well balanced, nutritious diet.
I am glad more people said they wanted fewer paleo recipes. I follow a few paleo blogs and that’s good enough for me. I’m not Paleo and I feel that many of the excluded foods in Paleo are nutritious 🙂 Having struggled with a horrible eating disorder in the past I am just not a fan of any diet that restricts.
Thanks for doing the survey! Your readers appreciate that you want constructive feedback.
