Hello friends! I’m popping in today with a quick Friday Favorites update! First up, Black Friday deals!
What are you guys after? I splurged on the doona for Baby #3! Stormy Grey is $100 off right now, but I think they might have sold out. I’m glad I snagged it when I did! Why are Black Friday deals all over the place now?
I feel like, do we start shopping on Monday now? I”m confused, anyone else?
Other things I’m eyeing:
- Power wheels for the boys
- Beautycounter products 30% off
- A second car seat for KK for Mr. Hungry’s truck
- Other Christmas presents for the kids – looking for ideas? I haven’t updated my gift guides from last year, but here they are if you are looking for ideas (babies and toddlers (1-3 years), him, her)
I feel like nowadays, I come into Black Friday (week?) with particular things I’m looking at. I also booked tickets on Tuesday for a wedding we are going to in June, prices were pretty low for southwest, and I figure I can always rebook if they lower. Like if prices ever go down.
Other suggestions:
- ButcherBox
- Expecting and Empowered Fitness App 25% off (use code hungryhobby10)
Thanksgiving Recap
Our Thanksgiving was pretty laid back! I did not host for the first time in like six years, haha. We went to my in-laws, and I brought roasted green beans with bacon (which KJ made 80% of the recipe, so he had a great time sharing that with everyone) and my healthy sweet potato casserole. Mr. Hungry went with KJ earlier in the day, and I hung back for the nap trap since KK has had issues napping outside of the home recently, then headed over around 2 pm. Overall it was full of good food, and the cousins had a BLAST playing together, so it was a success!
The obligatory Thanksgiving plate photo. I would have taken a dessert photo, but I was too busy helping KK shove cheesecake bites in his mouth without it being a huge mess! We had the standard pies: pecan, pumpkin, apple, and cheesecake.
Also, if you missed it yesterday, don’t forget to check my leftover turkey recipe posts!
Flagstaff Recap
Last weekend we went up to Flagstaff to see my Aunt and Uncle and had a wonderful time exploring the local park, making cookies, doing art projects, and eating treats like blueberry pie! Mr. Hungry and I went out to see a movie, but I can’t say I would recommend it. It be like that sometimes!
No snow while we were there, except for this one chunk in the corner of the park ha, ha
Best pie I’ve ever had!
I forgot to get pictures, or maybe I can’t find them on my phone, but my uncle also made little wooden Christmas trees that my Aunt had the kids paint and decorate with sticker ornaments! It was a HUGE hit! I think they sell the trees at hobby lobby, and honestly, if you didn’t even paint them and just did the stickers, you’d probably buy yourself 30 minutes of peace. Ha ha, Just an idea!
That’s it for today! I have to sign off and get ready for the day, put out Christmas decorations AFTER we clean our disaster of a house! I mean, I feel like I’m swimming in chaos, and I can not take it anymore ha ha #momlife
Have a wonderful holiday weekend, friends!
[…] it tasted good, but the texture looked weird to me, very gelatin-like. (Nothing like the blueberry pie my Aunt made from scratch a few weekends ago!) But the crust did hold beautifully when carefully sliced into […]
