Well, I wasn’t going to post today. I want to be sensitive to current events and how people may be feeling about them. Then I found out we won’t really find out till Friday who our next president will be, so, in the meantime, you will still need to eat breakfast.
And more and more people are limiting eggs for breakfast. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m an ambassador for the Egg Nutrition Council and I believe that eggs are nutritious as they are delicious. That being said, some people don’t like them and other people can’t eat them due to allergy or sensitivity.
So, I wanted to share some breakfast ideas without eggs. This round-up is similar to last year’s high-protein vegetarian breakfast recipes without eggs, but different because obviously this round-up also includes meats.
Not all these recipes are super high-protein, but many are. For me, when I have a carb-heavy low protein breakfast I also drink a protein shake or have collagen in my coffee to make sure I get protein. Protein for breakfast helps stabilize blood sugar, give steady energy levels, and keep you fuller for longer!
