Hi friends! Happy Friday!
(picture from last Friday when I was 37 + 6! )
Most of this week has been pretty uneventful on the pregnancy front! I’m kind of sick of food in all forms, Mr. Hungry even brought home Dairy Queen, and I never ate any. I’ve been eating super plain jane lately and doing a lot of snacking on crackers and fruit, etc. I guess it starts how it ends, right? On the positive, the nursery is finally functionally set up! I’m not done with the finishing touches (I chose a woodlands theme), but the dresser we ordered came, so everything is put away! I’ll be sure to take some good photos and share them soon!
A few days ago, I started feeling a significant amount of pressure lower in my pelvis that I hadn’t felt before. And in the last couple of days, there has been an increase in random mild contractions felt at night. Yesterday morning, I actually think I had a bit of false labor because I had really strong menstrual-like cramps and a backache, which is how I felt when my water broke with KJ before the contractions started (I was induced with the gel.) But, alas, they fizzled out.
Do you know what’s funny? I was induced at 40 + 6 weeks with KJ which means I KNOW in my head that I’m likely to go over my due date again. (Elective induction, I had a lot of anxiety last pregnancy and did not want to go over 41 weeks.) Who knows if the little man would have stayed camped out if we hadn’t moved things along. Would I have gone to 42 weeks or longer? And yet, when you get uber pregnant, stretched out and uncomfortable to the max, I think it’s only natural to think babe is gonna come any day. Like I KNOW that I’m more likely to go over than not given my history, and yet, still can’t help but think babe would be here early. Like I’m surprised I’m going to my 39-week appointment this morning, even though in reality the odds were always there that I would. (Now I did have signs of impending labor that I didn’t have last time, but still.)
Today will be my first check since 36 weeks, and I’m praying I’m at least a little dilated (I was not dilated or effaced with KJ until I went in for an induction.) So, a little bit of progress would be encouraging! Fingers crossed for me!
Food Favorites
Aloha Kitchen
We ordered a whole bunch of dishes from Aloha Kitchen for my MIL’s birthday! It was super delicious. My favorite was the noodles and the spicy chicken!
Spinach Ricotta Ravioli (Hungryroot Meal)
This week’s box of Hungryroot was much better than last week when I forgot to set our preference for meals. So that’s good! Last week I also had a client call in which I recommended HR for easy weeknight meals, and the client mentioned maybe since they are so easy, her hubby could cook them to give her a night off from cooking. I thought that was a brilliant idea and decided to implement it in my own home. Mr. Hungry did a great job whipping up this spinach ricotta ravioli last night! (added mozzarella cheese.)

New Recipe Videos!!!!
I may not have been able to post any new blog posts this week, but I did finish up editing a few videos I filmed! Here is my latest YT Video!
And I made a video (not YT, just a short 1-minute style video) for my oat flour blueberry muffins!
Fitness
Walking 30-60 minutes almost every day! The weather was SOOOOO nice last week, my swelling went way down. My swelling is really minor compared to some of my friends so I usually forget to mention it, but it was still nice to see it gone this last week. And last week my MIL accompanied me on most of my morning walks. It was nice to have some back up since when KJ wants to get out of the stroller being 38 weeks pregnant, with an 80lb dog, and fast toddler can be a lot to manage haha
