Hi friends! Mr. Hungry and I have never been super excited about going out to crowded restaurants for Valentine’s Day, we would much rather enjoy a night in. So I thought I’d share a round-up of my top dessert recipes in case you’re looking for something to help you celebrate with a night in!
As I was putting this roundup together I was scrolling through my recipes trying to figure out what treat I wanted to make for us on Valentine’s Day. I also did a bit of googling to see what kind of desserts the rest of the internet land had to offer. As you guys know I’m currently following a top 8 allergen (soy, gluten/wheat, dairy, eggs, nuts, peanuts, fish, and shellfish) breastfeeding elimination diet. Searching for top 8 free desserts is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack, it’s not easy! Then I realized 3 out of the 5 of these recipes are top 8 free, plus the other two are still dairy and gluten free. So now I have a few options which is probably a good thing because I might be getting a little bored of eating vegan chocolate chips right out of the bag.
Anyways….. take a scroll and tag me if you make anything for Valentine’s Day!!!!!
This 3 Ingredient Chocolate Pudding likely what I’ll be having on Valentine’s Day, it’s made with 3 simple ingredients none of which conflict with my breastfeeding elimination diet! It’s basically “everything” free and still taste delicious! (free of top 8 allergens)
These gluten-free frosted flourless thumbprint cookies are only 140 calories per cookie and made with almond flour for a healthier treat! Gluten Free, Vegetarian (Vegan and Paleo without frosting or you can use a paleo/vegan friendly frosting of your own.) – contains nut flour
This Flourless Samoa Brownie Skillet is perfect when you want a little dessert around but not an ENTIRE batch of brownies, you feel me? Chewy fudgy brownie topped with date caramel and toasted coconut flakes, it’s good, REAL good! (contains nut flour and eggs but is Paleo – Gluten and Dairy Free)
Vegan Chickpea Dark Chocolate Chunk Blondies are the perfect mixture of sweet and salty baked into a fudgy cookie dough like bar bursting with dark chocolate chunks. Free of refined flour or sugar and they are allergy friendly! On second thought, maybe I’ll be making TWO desserts this Valentine’s Day! (Free of top 8 allergens)
These healthy stuffed baked apples can be made in the toaster/convection oven and are the PERFECT dessert when you want a treat this fall, but want to stay on track! (free of top 8 allergens)
