Every year I like to share my top posts of the year! It’s always fun to look back and see what really did well! Let me know if you tried any of these or if there were recipes this year that didn’t make the top 20 list that you think should have.

If you haven’t taken the survey please spend just a couple of minutes to tell me what you love and hate about HH now! You could win a little gift from me if you do! CLICK HERE!
Also, good riddance 2020! You’ll be a year I won’t forget as the blog exploded in views and readership while mine (and everyone else’s) lives exploded. I’m glad at least HH could be a resource for baking when regular flour was out of stock (enter oat flour) and for me a source of connection to the world beyond my house.

1. Savory Oat Flour Bread
I guess it shouldn’t surprise me that this recipe for a savory oat flour bread has been so popular (my most popular) since I posted it two years ago. After so many of you fell in love with my honey oat flour bread, you guys requested a savory version, and so far, it’s received over 180 four-star reviews!
This recipe video is also popular on YouTube, where people LOVE to comment that I talk too much and are mad they have to click the recipe link to get the recipe. Yet, despite their anger, they still love the recipe, so I guess it’s a win!
2. Oat Flour Banana Bread
As you all know, I love cooking with oat flour! This Oat Flour Banana Bread took off in popularity during quarantine and has continued in popularity ever since! In fact, it’s my number one viewed video on YouTube with over 22K views!
If you’ve tried this one (I know so many of you have), I’d love it if you left a review, right now it has 100 4 star reviews!
3. Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Mug Cake
This peanut butter chocolate protein mug cake surprised me when it took off in popularity! One day I was messing around trying to make a variation of my 1 Minute peanut butter protein mug cake, and I can up with this! It’s the perfect high protein treat for a snack or dessert! I didn’t know you guys loved mug cakes this much. I’m into it and got more planned for next year!
4. Honey Oat Flour Bread
My OG Honey Oat Flour Bread that’s been copied and stoled on the internet a thousand trillion times still hits the top of the charts! This recipe put HH on the food blog map, and it will forever be near and dear to my heart.
5. Taking Cara Babies Review
I don’t know how many people who read my TCB review become regular blog readers, BUT I know I get emails about this post all the time. Now that I’m pregnant again, I’m avoiding reading that post because the reality of baby sleep is not something I ready to face yet with a toddler in the mix.
6. Healthy Trader Joe’s Meal Plan
For those of you who love TJ’s as much as I do, this healthy meal plan and shopping list or TJs has been a huge hit!
7. Sheet Pan Trader Joe’s Cauliflower Gnocchi with Broccoli and Sausage
I don’t blame you for loving this easy sheet pan recipe. We make it at least 2-4 times a month over here! I also recently made a pesto and red shrimp variation for those of you that already love this recipe and want a little variation!
10. Oat Flour Pumpkin Bread
Surprise surprise, another oat flour recipe tops the list, but this pumpkin version’s popularity took me by surprise. The video even got popular despite being one of the first videos I filmed myself, and the quality was less than stellar. Guess a good recipe can’t hide behind poor filming skills?
11. 1 Minute Peanut Butter Mug Cake
I mentioned this mug cake recipe earlier, but for those of you who have loved this one as much as I have over the years, don’t worry. It still made the top 20 list!
12. Easy Crockpot Mexican Carnitas
I can’t tell you how thrilled I am that this recipe for easy crockpot Mexican carnitas TOOK OFF on Pinterest! This has been a family favorite for years, and I’m so happy other people are getting to find this recipe and enjoy it. Sometimes the recipes I love the best don’t get picked up on social or google, so it’s hard for people to find them unless they are diehard HH readers.
So, it’s really nice, so many people are getting to enjoy a recipe we love SOOOOOO much! One person commented that my video was hysterical. I think they mean because my cooking skills on Instagram are not exactly polished (BLOP, oh shit, the broth went everywhere!)
13. Vegan Cinnamon Apple Baby Muffins
While I’m so happy that I don’t have to cook this way for KJ anymore, I’m also so happy that so many mamas have found this recipe for vegan cinnamon apple baby muffins helpful for their little ones!
14. Oat Flour Banana Muffins
With the popularity of the oat flour banana bread, it’s no wonder these portable, easy muffins got popular as well!
15. Healthy Breakfast Quesadilla
This non-recipe recipe for a healthy breakfast quesadilla has always impressed me with its popularity. Sometimes, it’s the simple things that make healthy eating easier and more delicious for everyone, like this recipe!
16. Are Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches Healthy?
In case you are wondering if peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are actually good for you, then read this post! Or watch the old, poorly filmed YouTube video! And although it didn’t make the top 20, my second most popular nutrition question answered on the blog was, Is Jelly Healthy? A spin-off of the PB and J post but with more detail about jam vs. jelly!
17. 12 Healthy Freezer Meals for New Moms (or Anyone!)
I’ll be referring to this post with the freezer meals I made for my last maternity leave myself in the next couple of months before Baby #2 arrives! (Ebook available for HH subscribers!)
18. 2 Ingredient Egg White Pancake
Another OG HH recipe, this simple pancake with just two ingredients, has made the most popular list every year since I posted it in 2015 (photos were updated in 2017.)
19. Instant Pot Chicken Tortilla Soup
This Instant Pot Chicken Tortilla Soup is hands down my favorite soup recipe of all time! Which is saying a lot because soup isn’t a favorite of mine. It’s taken me a while to come around to it. But, this one I could eat any time of year. It’s delicious and so EASY to make in the IP!
20. Honey Chipotle Sauce
I’ve been on a chipotle sauce kick for years now, but of all my chipotle recipes, this honey-chipotle sauce is the most popular! I’ve used it for honey chipotle grilled wings and honey chipotle salmon, both DELICIOUS!
