Mr. Hungry had a friend from high school visiting us this week, so he took the week off work, so it was uber fun to have him around more this week. Plus, next week is spring break, so there are no classes for me to teach. I’m excited to spend some extra time with the little man.
Speaking of him, I can hear him on the monitor, so this intro is getting cut short! Have a wonderful weekend, friends!

Expressie Nail Polish
The best find of the week was this Expressie nail polish that drys in under 2 minutes! LIFE CHANGING! I read about it on Jen’s blog and immediately went to Ulta to get it (couldn’t find it on Amazon Prime.) Yep, I braved Ulta with a toddler, and it was 100% worth it.
It seemed pretty dry in two minutes, but maybe not fully dry. So I swiped on the Essie quick-dry nail coat and BAM within a minute my nails were 100% DRY! I’m obsessed! No more taking an hour out of my day for the nail salon.
Green Juice & Green Smoothies
We’ve been on the green juice and green smoothies train trying to keep our immunities up! PS I keep seeing ads for “immunity-boosting supplements” don’t’ buy into that crap friends! Food, especially lots of produce and sleep, are the best things you can do! Here is a link to how I make my green juice.
We even got Mr. Hungry’s friend visiting from Hawaii in on the Smoothie Box green smoothie action!
Homemade tabouli by Mr. Hungry’s uncle visiting from Michigan is such a treat! He spends hours picking off the stems, instead of just mincing it down. It’s seriously delicious! (I have a copycat Tabouli recipe here, but I still mince mine)
The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck
I read/listened to on Audible The Subtle Art of Not Giving A Fuck recently. It’s not for everyone, especially if cussing makes you cringe. I enjoyed it, though, and thought it was an interesting perspective.
Fresh The Movie
I show this movie to my students every year, and it 100% reinvigorates me. As we were watching it in class, I just kept thinking, yes! This is why I buy my meat from Butcher Box. Did you have a favorite instant oat pack growing up? Mr. Hungry still occasionally buys himself some dinosaur egg oatmeal packs to eat for dessert 😂😂😂 As good as those memories are, those sugary instant oat packs will only fill you up for about five seconds. This week prep these anti-inflammatory overnight oats or instant oat packs instead! For Dry Mix: ✨2 tablespoons ground flax ✨1 tablespoon hemp seeds ✨1/3 cup rolled oats ✨1 teaspoon chia seeds ✨2 tablespoons peanut butter powder ✨1 scoop collagen or protein powder ✨1 teaspoon coconut sugar or brown sugar, optional To Make Overnight Oats add: ✨1/3 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk or water ✨5-6 drops stevia optional ✨1 cup frozen strawberries To Make Instant Oats add later: 💦 1/3 cup water Instructions overnight oats: 1️⃣Combine all dry ingredients in a bag or mason jar. 2️⃣To make overnight oats (will be ready in the morning) – add almond milk, frozen strawberries, and stevia to jar. 3️⃣Combine ingredients well and let "cook" overnight in the refrigerator. Sunday (3/1) – Hiking Kind Of Fail – We were going to go hiking with the ladies at Burn, but we couldn’t get it together enough, so we went on our own. Unfortunately, w went too late in the day, which means little man fell asleep in the carrier and took a 45-minute nap. So guess what? Yep, he didn’t nap the rest of the day, whomp whomp. We also parked in the wrong spot and were walking the road instead of trails. At least we tried!
