Baby Size at 34 Weeks:
Baby is more wiggly than anything, but often gives me a kick to the ribs or a punch to the bladder. I haven’t had an ultrasound since 29 weeks so I can’t be 100% sure he is still head down, but around 32 weeks my chiropractor thought he was. So, I’m just picturing his head down and ready to meet me! He also has hiccups every single night, right when I’m trying to fall asleep. My doctor said her son did the same thing!
Symptoms:
- Hello nausea my evil friend, no one invited you back! But, it did come back in full force the last three days. I’ve heard of this happening before; I was hoping not to me! Such a gross feeling. BOOOOOO Not. A. Fan.
- My SI joint is about the same, acts up on any day that I do a lot of bending over especially on recipe shoots.
- Luckily the back pain, leg cramps, and headaches have taken a back seat. I think the humidifier we received on our registry helped a lot with getting rid of the headaches!
- It probably wouldn’t be fair if I didn’t mention my irritability, it’s a thing. It’s real. It’s gotten worse since nausea came back, but the last few weeks it’s been kind of MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY. I appreciate those around me still loving me anyway, especially Mr. Hungry.
Currently Missing:
Well, now I’m missing not being nauseous.
Sleep:
Um, ya. Some nights it’s fine and other nights I get up to pee seven thousand times and each time insomnia worsens. I told my mom it’s like Russian roulette every night, not sure what you are going to get or consequently what the next day will bring!
Food Aversions:
Well up until nausea returned I was doing pretty good eating veggies, I was even eating chicken! Like I’ve mentioned before pregnancy is ironically not about LOVING food for me, but I was able to tolerate just about everything until nausea hit again. Here is to hoping it doesn’t stick around too long.
Food Cravings:
I’ve been doing a pregnancy smoothie most mornings because it’s easy and I make Mr. Hungry a smoothie anyway. I’ve also been eating a ton of yogurt; my favorite is Trader Joe’s Almond Butter Greek Yogurt.
The other day Mr. Hungry opened the fridge and said, “Why do we have all these weird yogurt flavors? Jeez, like have you ever heard of strawberry or blueberry?!?! Come on.” I laughed so hard I cried. Welcome to living with a pregnant foodie, lmao.
I will say that one thing I’ve been craving is SOUP. Okay, this one is a weird one for me. If you know me at all, you know that soup is my least favorite food. It’s mushy, hot, and typically makes my stomach hurt. But, for some reason, despite it being 98 degrees outside I’ve been craving and making soup. Like the billion batches of healthy turkey and butternut squash chili, I made last week. Mr. Hungry isn’t typically a fan of soup either, but he is being a champ and downing it anyway.
Exercise:
I forgot to ask at my last appointment if I’m allowed to take Nala on walks now or not. I’ll call today, and if you see me walking Nala on IG then that is your answer! haha
Buying:
I think my shopping spree has come to an end. This weekend I need to install the car seat and purchase some nursing bras (thanks for all your recommendations on IG stories!) When we went on our hospital tour the nurse commented on bringing a nursing bra or your tatas will be hanging out for everyone to see through the gown. Um, no thank you, I’m purchasing immediately and putting it right in the hospital bag!
Oh, I did buy this duffle bag because the only one we had is filled with Mr. Hungrys gym stuff, gross! This one is super cute though!
