About Nala
Our little puppy has turned into a playful fun 65lb+ ball of energy. Although sometimes she still gives us those sad puppy eyes, it’s usually because she jumped on the counter and not because she is just a scared little puppy. I still fall for them though!
Nala needs to party every day for 30-40 minutes but once her energy is gone she is like a college kid on Sunday (aka me when I was in college), moving her from the couch is impossible.
She is a little small for her breed, but she may keep growing up to three years. She is more Vizsla size, but I’m not complaining, I honestly can’t imagine her getting any bigger.
She knows she can’t physically touch Missy or she will be scratched, but that doesn’t stop her from jumping in a carefully planned radius around her.
She has a tiny attention span, toys are only fun for about a day before she needs something new.
My favorite part of her is her reindeer legs and giant paws, they crack me up they are so cute.
In my opinion, Nala’s personality hasn’t changed from the very first time we held her at the breeders. She has always been a little bit timid, very cuddly (even know at 65lbs+), thoughtful, and playful. She definitely isn’t an Alpha, she could care less if she is in charge as long as you want to play with her.
Best trick uh… shake and other paw.
She loves to jump, straight up in the air like tigger from Winnie the Pooh. She jumps at the back door, at the dog park, when you play tug with her or even just throw a ball. I’m kind of afraid she is going to blow a hip.
Her favorite pass times are counter surfacing and human jumping, still a work in progress.
To date the longest run she has done with me is 3.5 miles and the longest hike has been probably about 5 miles.
Birthday Homemade Dog Cookies
Special for her birthday I whipped up some dog cookies! Mostly because I was avoiding doing chores when I got home yesterday after teaching, but still, she got cookies!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup oat flour
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 cup pumpkin
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup peanut butter

- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl until well combined.

Is this for real? Now can I have one?????

Question’s of the day!
Dog owners, when did your puppy start to calm down? I’ve heard a year and half for her breed.
What was your favorite/least favorite part of raising a puppy?
Least favorite, 2am wake ups and potty training. Most favorite, everything else.
Do you do anything fun for your pups birthday?
If you don’t have a pup, tell me why your pet is better than a dog!
I have never appreciated Missy’s loveyness and ability for self care more.
