These chocolate chip cookie dough protein balls are the perfect snack or any time treat, salmonella-free! ONLY FIVE INGREDIENTS!
Clearly, I’m craving cookie dough. In fact, the other day Mr. Hungry wanted me to buy cookie dough at the store and I refused. He was like “why you can have cookies what’s the problem?”
BUT I CAN’T HAVE COOKIE DOUGH, THAT’S THE PROBLEM.
I miss runny eggs, uncooked sushi, lunch meat, and cookie dough. I’m so over being paranoid about everything I eat. Welcome to pregnancy, a time that you are supposed to gain weight but you will also be issued a food police badge, enjoy!
Luckily, pregnancy is almost over and our little one will be here before we know it. Then I will need nursing snacks I can eat one-handed that are quick and filling, like these chocolate chip cookie dough protein balls and my no-bake lactation balls.
The secret to these babies is they are made from salted, creamy cashew butter. You could sub almond butter or peanut butter if you want, but cashew butter has a more buttery neutral taste so these actually taste like cookie dough. Oh, and guess what they are only five ingredients!
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Protein Balls
- Combine cashew butter, rolled oats, maple syrup, and protein powder in a food processor.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Using a cookie scoop, portion out balls into 2 tablespoons each. Roll them into bites! Store in the refrigerator for as long as the cashew butter will be good for!
