Hi friends! I just can’t seem to get my feet under me since we were sick over Thanksgiving. But I wanted to pop in with a Friday Favorites because it’s been so long and I have so much to share! So, let’s jump into it!
Here is a bit of my food and favorites this past month! I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday season! And if you need any last-minute gift ideas I’ve got you covered with my gift guides! Toddlers and Baby, Preschoolers, Her, and Him Guides!
Anniversary Dinner at Coopers Hawk
We had our 10th Anniversary dinner at Cooper’s Hawk in Chandler! Would absolutely go there again! Last year we ate at Flemings, which I was mostly underwhelmed by but this was absolutely over-the-top delicious! I ended up buying a bottle of the cab zin which was SO good!
Ten years feels BIG! We would have loved to travel, but this just isn’t the life stage with little kids. (I don’t like to spend nights away from my babies until they are one. I know it’s weird, but it’s my preference!) In any case, we had a great night and I’m looking forward to many more decades with Mr. Hungry. Who apparently I did not get a picture of, haha whoops!
Luxear 3 Piece Fresh Set
So we all know that fresh berries cost approximately 1 million dollars, your left kidney, and a promise to give the name of your firstborn child to satan. Okay, I’m exaggerating only kind of not. That’s why when Luxear offered to send me their 3 piece produce saver set to try out, I said yes! (I typically don’t do collaborations where I try products just for review anymore due to time constraints, but this intrigued me enough I said yes!)
Not only did they make it so much easier to wash the berries but also easier to go the extra produce-saving step of using vinegar or baking soda in your wash to help preserve them longer. I find the set works the best with a paper towel in between the strainer and the container section to decrease the condensation buildup. There are vents as well to help promote airflow as well. Overall I would say my Costco berries lasted at least 5 days longer using these containers (I kept a small batch away from the kids and let them go bad intentionally so I could see how long they lasted.)
Matching Velvet Holiday Dresses
Okay, this might be over the top, but I don’t care. For baby girls’ first Christmas, I wanted to get the traditional velvet dress and it was kind of hard to find but I found it through H&M of all places!
Direct Links: Dress | Tights | Socks (haven’t decided if I’m going to do the socks or tights yet.) and I ordered a head bow and shoes from Amazon.
But then, I took it a step further and got a matching dress for me! I didn’t think I’d found a dress I actually liked, but then I ordered this one from Old Navy and loved it! Apparently, there are no sheer tights to be bought in the state of AZ so hoping I can squeeze into my pre-pregnancy ones, say a prayer haha
I’m definitely enjoying playing dress-up with her! It’s funny, everyone I know that’s had a girl after a bunch of boys loves to dress up their girl. My friends with a bunch of girls could kind of care less what they wear at this point!
The boys are going to re-wear what I bought last year because we never got a picture and I bought them big! Hopefully this year I can get a picture, but that 4 PM vigil mass man, it’s a killer, so hectic!
Fitness
I’m so close to being done with both the @expectingandempowered return to running program and the postpartum program.
After I finish both I think I might go on to the advanced plan and use some of their runs, but I also might hit up a few in-person Burn Boot Camp classes!
