Honey Oatmeal Protein Balls are a convenient, healthy protein packed treat that doesn’t taste like protein powder! Gluten Free, Dairy Free
So my goal for today is to chill. Ha ha ha ha ha no but, seriously, I need to relax. Sometimes I get so wrapped up in what I’m doing I barely blink, I don’t forget to eat, that’s never been an issue for me, but the hyper-focused mood I get in isn’t the most pleasant. Last night as I laid in bed reviewing my day I was reminded of something crucial. If I’m not enjoying what I’m doing and enjoying the people around me, then what’s the point?
I can love my work all I want, and I do. I feel a sense of pride in every single post I publish, and with every single client I’ve helped, I’m truly thankful for every opportunity in my life. It’s just that when I get into work mode, I forget that I enjoy it, I get caught up in my never ending to do list and put way too much on my plate. I’m cranky, and I don’t have much time for anything else, I make myself miserable without even realizing it.
So today’s motto is: let it be enough. This is something I repeat to myself often when needed. It reminds me to not rush my husband out of the house in the morning so I can get to work. It reminds me to enjoy his presence when he comes home, not try to ignore him so I can finish my to-do list.
Working from home has a ton of positives, but a negative would be the ability to work 24/7 around the clock. If I remind myself to let it be enough, I can accomplish as much as possible without missing out on what matters the most in life. Like the funny things Nala, Missy, and Mr. Hungry do on a daily basis.
Speaking of Mr. Hungry, these honey oatmeal walnut protein balls were made for him while he was following the first phase of his LEAP/MRT test results. They were the perfect breakfast, conveniently portable, and in his words “surprisingly filling.”
He HATES the taste of protein powder so I used collagen instead, which you can’t taste at all. That increased the protein content without grossing him out, which is probably why they were a little more filling. Not to mention they are packed with walnuts which are an excellent source of anti-inflammatory omega three healthy fats and protein.

Needless to say, today is a busy day, and I can’t wait to tackle my to-do list without letting it consume me. I’ll let you know how that goes!
The question of the day: how do you get through your to-do list without being consumed by it?

My little sister works from home and she was visiting last week and working at my house. I was shocked with the number of hours she would put in and she was truly never ‘off the clock’. Definitely positives and negatives to working from home or having a set schedule. And these bites, YUM! Love making any type of protein ball or energy bite!
