Hi friends! Today I’m teaming up with to share how you can incorporate their plain FAGE Total 2% Greek yogurt all day long! Did you know that you can incorporate Greek yogurt into just about every meal of the day? FAGE Total 2% Greek Yogurt is all natural, Non-GMO Project Verified, protein-rich, contains no added sugars and is made with only milk and active live cultures (probiotics.) It’s a great high protein addition to any meal or substitute for traditional ingredients like mayo or sour cream.
As you guys know, I’m currently dairy-free because of little man’s food sensitivities. However, I LOVE FAGE Greek yogurt and have shared my meals and snacks featuring it regularly on the blog for years. So, when they reached out about teaming up, I asked them if I could share a day of Mr. Hungry’s meals instead of my own and they were all for it! I figured it would be easy since he works from home on Fridays to share a day of his meals!
So today is going to be all about Mr. Hungry’s meals, and he starts every single day with a green smoothie. He LOVES to get a big dose of spinach in the morning, and I jokingly refer to him as Popeye.
Mr. Hungry is anti-banana and anti-ice in his smoothies (two things I absolute HAVE TO HAVE in my smoothies for them to be drinkable.) So here is what went in his smoothie:
- 1 container (7 ounces) of FAGE Total 2% Greek Yogurt
- 4-6 Stevia Drops
- 4 cups of spinach
- 3/4 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 spoonful of sunflower seed butter (sweetened)
For lunch, I whipped up some chicken salad for him which was a huge hit!
I just threw in random ingredients we had here, and Mr. Hungry said it came out delicious!
- 10 ounce can of chicken
- 6 ounces or ¾ cup FAGE Total 2% Greek Yogurt
- 1 avocado
- 3 tablespoons sweet dill relish
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
- 3 stalks celery chopped
- ¼ cup sun-dried tomatoes
- Pecans for garnish
Mix it all up and place over a bed of lettuce! We had some bell pepper strips in the fridge so I added that to the side for a nice crunch along with some blue corn tortilla chips. Mr. Hungry loves to have chicken salad over a big bed of greens. I’m pickier, I have to have chicken salad on some sort of toast or with something carby or crunchy. I like to fill bell pepper halves with chicken salad as well, that’s always yummy!
For dinner, I made steak tacos, and for a topping for the tacos, I made what I like to call lazy guacamole because it only has three ingredients.
Just take three avocados and combine with ½ cup salsa verde (you can use red salsa, but then your guac will be kind of brown colored) and ¼ cup FAGE Total 2% Greek Yogurt.
Mash it up, and you are good to go!
You can throw a little lemon juice in there if you are making it ahead of time and don’t want it to get brown. I gave some to my Aunt the next day, and it was still bright green!
PS notice the bigger container of FAGE 2% Total Greek Yogurt? I keep all three sizes (7 ounces, 17.6 ounces, 35.3 ounces) in my refrigerator at all times! Sometimes the individual portions are great for smoothies and yogurt bowls, but the bigger versions are good for cooking with!
It makes the perfect dip or topping for tacos! For this meal I just sauteed up chopped onion, then some steak pieces in a cast iron skillet. Once it was ready, I combined it with a pre-made steak skillet sauce, divided the mixture up among tacos and topped with the three ingredient guacamole (aka lazy guacamole)!
Mr. Hungry said it was the best dinner I’ve ever made. So there ya go, I think we have a winner!
A few hours later for dessert (after the baby was in bed), I made Mr. Hungry one of my all-time FAVORITE dessert yogurts bowls. Two tablespoons dark chocolate chips and a big old spoonful of peanut butter (1-2 tablespoons).
It’s a spoonful of heaven in every bite. You’re welcome.

Thank you for these interesting recipes, Kelli! All they look absolutely delicious but I especially did like your Steak Tatos recipe. I made this dish a few days ago and my family loved it! I can’t wait to cook this again 🙂
