This is so weird I’m so use to posting in the morning and re-reading my posts so I usually start out with Happy *Insert day of the week here* How do start this post now? Happy Monday night? I hope it wast too long for you, I was DRAGGING today I didn’t want to do anything except go home and unpack my house. We all made it through though right? Just four more days to go! Blerg… anyway its time for another round of…..

Monday Eats:
Monday was crazy because I took off work to go sign the closing papers for the house, waited around waited around waited around and it never happened! Waste of a PTO day.
Breakfast started with a festive feeling St. Patricks Day Green Smoothie. For lunch I heated up Pizza Meatloaf and put it on top of salad greens. I ate three artichokes on the side because the idea to put them on top of the salad didn’t come to me till much later. For dinner we had 5 Ingredient Cheesy Brussels Sprouts and Chicken, which neither of us really ate because we weren’t that hungry. I think we were super disappointed that we didn’t sign the house papers. For dessert I soothed my depression with a homemade dark chocolate coconut oatmeal cookie (recipe coming soon.) No caffeine that day that I remember.
Tuesday Eats:
By Tuesday I had learned my lesson, I went into to work thinking that I would have to leave at any moments to go sign the documents. For breakfast I had a Cranberry and Date Quinoa Breakfast Bar topped with sun butter and a muscle milk. I also had a coffee brewed with half regular coffee half decaf, I drank about half of it. For lunch I had a Mini Pizza Meatloaf on top of salad greens with artichokes. The hubby and I left work early to head to his parents house since the title company was right near there, again we waited and waited and the documents did not come through in time. We went out with the family to Pei Wei and I got Shrimp Pad Thai.
Wednesday:
This was the day! This time I thought we wouldn’t get called till around 9 or 10 to sign papers but I had to stay home from work anyway because work is so far from the title company. Then all of a sudden Paul got a call and he was on his way home and I wasn’t even ready because it was only 730AM! I drank a muscle milk on the way to the signing. At the signing I could not resist all the different cook flavored K- cups they had, again I had a half full strength caffeine and half decaf drink. Once we got home from signing I celebrated with breakfast of puffins, blueberries, almond milk and a glass of dandy blend. Then after putting together a blog post, only to realize we didn’t have internet I headed off to work. Things were so crazy busy I didn’t get to eat anything but an oreo till 330pm, I had my leftover shrimp pad thai and an orange (not shown). For dinner I made Mexican Cauliflower Rice Bowls (with chicken chorizo) which I devoured even though I had only eaten 2 hours before that.
Thursday:
Breakfast on Thursday was a Green Chile and Cheese DIY Frozen Breakfast Burrito which I was so looking forward too. I only had two left last weekend and I knew with moving I wouldn’t have time to make more so I saved one for this week. I also had an orange and another half regular/half decaf coffee which I only drank half of again. Another couple slices of Pizza Meatloaf over salad greens with artichokes and carrots, again. For dinner we had leftover 5 ingredient cheesy brussels sprouts and chicken with cauliflower rice (mixed with green salsa verde), and ahi tuna.
Friday Eats:
For breakfast I made a flour less blueberry pancake Thursday night and threw in a bunch of blueberries which served as syrup when they exploded in the microwave. We had a potluck at work, but I knew my meatless options would probably be limited (Catholics abstain from meat on Fridays during lent) so I brought a Salmon salad with a little brown rice. I also had some bean dip (which I brought from safeway) and didn’t eat the carrots. I did however eat a rather awesome slice of German Chocolate Cake. Packing really got to us and all the stuff we had to do, so we broke our lenten promise and ate out. I feel bad about breaking lent but at least it was a nice relaxing and awesome meal, a Shrimp burrito from the Original Burrito Company. I felt worse because I didn’t have any caffeine all day until the 20 ounces of diet coke I let myself have to get some energy for packing.
So I thought I did pretty well on the limiting of caffeine thing since I didn’t finish my coffees but now thinking about it I’m not so sure.
Sunday- none
Monday- none
Tuesday- half regular/half decaf 12 ounce coffee (drank half) & drank half a chai tea in afternoon
Wednesday- half regular/half decaf 12 ounce coffee (drank half) & drank half a chai tea in afternoon
Thursday- half regular/half decaf 12 ounce coffee (drank half) & drank half a chai tea in afternoon
Friday- 20 ounces diet coke in PM
Saturday- Moving day= Iced Venti Skinny Mocha which I nursed all day long
Hmmm I guess thats why I’m repeating this one this week? I mean it is definitely an improvement from my daily 20 ounce full strength black coffee and chai tea in the afternoon though! I’ve found the need for caffeine isn’t the only part thats addictive, coffee is also a fun habit or hobby for me. I love trying new kinds of flavored coffee, gourmet coffee, and new coffee shops. So part of it is the physical need for caffeine and part of it is a part hobby part habit. We will see how this week goes now that we are all moved and just slowly unpacking, hopefully I can keep cutting back a bit.
