Introducing our newest member of our family, Nala!
Nala is a beautiful little 8 week old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy She is such a little wonderful cuddle bug we couldn’t be happier to have her!
Of course the first days of potty training are rough but she is getting the hang of it.
Rhodesian Ridgeback’s are originally from Southern Africa, primarily used to guard and hunt Lions and other wild game. Despite their aggressive roots they are known to be great family dogs with an excellent guarding capability. Right now though, she is just a little puppy trying to learn her way around this big world.
Her first walk didn’t go so well… ha ha … those puppy classes couldn’t come soon enough! In the mean time she will have to make do with all her abundance of toys to entertain her…. it’s a tough life being a puppy!
So that’s our newest little addition to our family! Puppy’s require constant supervision so that’s where I’ve been and haven’t been able to get a blog post in! As usual, whenever I can’t blog for a while I feel weird so Mr. Hungry and I worked out a schedule to make it work! In the mean time, any and all puppy raising tips are welcome!

eep! Love her already! First week is for sure the hardest but consistency is KEY! Also, if you are crate training her, I definitely recommend gradually coaxing her into the crate and feeding her in there/put treats in and let her go in and out and she pleases. Once she gets used to it you can close the door and have her in there for a few minutes then open it and work from there…Ethan/I didn’t really do that with ellie and we wish we would have! She went in the crate at night no problem but during the day she cried and cried haha. Live and learn. And YES the first walks are the worst haha it seems impossible. Good that you already are starting with a harness though–that helps a LOT! Let me know if you have any questions as you go! Happy to help if I can 🙂

Oh ya, the first day in the crate was a disaster but it’s getting better! Consistency takes practice too right? Like running out the door I can’t always grab the treats and the clicker…. lol excuses excuses I can’t believe we have a sweet little puppy though!
