Hello! TGIF, even though this last weekend was a working weekend this week still felt crazy short to me. Maybe it was starting up teaching again or maybe it was just the general feeling I don’t know! Either way, I did a decent job getting through my to do list! Newsletter subscribers should get their healthy tailgating goodie today! Workouts were pretty good this week, but no Orange Theory “proof” because our heart rate monitors haven’t been working. It kind of irritates me but also kind of feels like freedom, I can’t decide how I feel about it.

Food
I did a terrible job at sharing a full day of eats this week. I know I fail, but what about A for effort because I did snap some photos of random meals throughout the week so that’s what I’m sharing today! You already know I kicked off my week with a high protein pumpkin pancake!
I’ve also been OBSESSED with the combo of blueberries, raisins, pumpkin seeds, honey and cottage cheese. I don’t measure but I do love the thickness of the whole milk good culture brand. ON SALE 2 for 3 at Whole Foods!
that one above looks a little light, I think it was more of a snack. I also had it for breakfast one day and I was full for a solid five hours (that’s the one below)!
This morning my peanut butter loaded oats looked more like blueberry jam, eh you win some you lose some. I put too much milk in for my taste.
We’ve also been devouring some Teton Waters Ranch 100% grass fed beef sausages that were sent to me to try out! Up until now, I’d only got their jalapeno and cheddar from Costco, so I picked up a package of each type they make at Natural Grocers. So far we love the polish dogs and the andouille sausage!I ate those with potatoes, arugula, and sauerkraut. I also ate them a few times in a version of my chicken apple skillet without the apples.
Basically, the rest of this is a preview for recipes to come, because that’s what I ate all week! Like Everything Salmon with chopped tomatoes & cucumbers slathered with Greek yogurt feta ranch.
and again….
and Teton Water Ranch sausages with my butternut squash grain salad (recipe coming soon)!
Chipotle Chicken Tacos – straight up ate that folded one in the back after I was done photographing. I was originally going to make cauliflower rice to go with it but instead got lazy and chose to eat a cut up bell pepper. Also coming soon!
Plus did I mention I’m obsessed with pumpkin seeds? I so am!
Plus lot’s of fig newton cookies for random bites and dessert cravings!

The POST summer slim down over at DTFN! The coaches and RDs over there have put together an AWESOME post summer slim down. I’ve been saying all summer that the summer is the hardest time to keep nutrition in check, you’re just less aware of all the indulgences you know? So, I’ll likely be following along with it as much as possible (still have to make and photograph recipes for the blog).
If you are interested in resetting your sugar cravings and getting a jumpstart to back on track before the holidays I highly recommend it! You can also select me as your coach by putting it in the comments section.
Tina’s post on her experience with the leap diet is still my favorite!

Those tacos sound delicious! I love adding pumpkin seeds to yogurt/cottage cheese – they give such a nice crunch!

I forgot my heart rate monitor for the OTF 600 rep challenge, but I feel like it kicked my butt. My arms are less than pleased with me after all the push ups. Hope you have a great weekend!
