I’ve probably watched this video 100 times, I want to live in moments like these forever.
I also want to live in the summer monsoon weather forever, love the cooler temps and overcast skies. It does make it a little bit more difficult to shoot recipes, but since I’m only posting once per week I can figure it out. Speaking of recipes–>
Meal plan friends your new meal plan should be in your inbox! <3 This weeks preview–>
What are your plans this weekend? Sometimes I hate asking that question because I’m afraid I might have to answer it and this weekend, like 90% of all our weekends is just us hanging out as a family. Hanging out in the pool, soaking up time with Little Man, and dreaming about home renovations. That’s basically my life.
Can you believe school started here? When we were on our morning walk I was watching all the parents walk their kids into school on their first day and take pictures. I can’t believe in just a few years that will be us! Speaking of school, I go back to teaching in just a couple of weeks and I couldn’t be more excited!
Favorites
My favorite bag needs to be retired. Replacement suggestions, anyone?
In other news, this Kirkland version of the brown rice we usually get is delicious!
We also got these Pollock burgers which we hadn’t had in so so so long, forgot how delicious they are!
I’ve never done a Costco haul post before, would you guys be interested in hearing our favorite products to buy at Costco? Let me know if this is something I should do a post/video on.
Food
In other news, I loved this sandwich I got at Duck N Decanter. I mean I would have rather had something with cheese and mayo, but in lieu of not being able to have those things, this sandwich with roasted chicken, avocado, cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce, and mustard tasted pretty good!
A lot of you have been asking what granola I’m using on my smoothies every morning.
Bobs Red Mill sent me a granola package a while back and I’ve been working my way through it (and Mr. Hungry has been flying through it ha ha). This is the one I’ve been using recently:
We’ve been eating a lot of salad kits and I’m loving it! Since I’m still dairy and egg-free, I can’t always use everything in the salad kit but I think it’s still worth it to have a variety of chopped up vegetables and add-ins for zero work.
In this Asian slaw kit, I replaced the kit dressing with Primal Kitchen Sesame Dressing. The burger pictured is the Pollock burger I showed above.
And for yesterday’s lunch, I had a BBQ Ranch salad kit. I replaced the dressing with Primal Kitchen Vegan Ranch and left out the ranch crackers. Side of Simple Mills Almond Flour Crackers and Trader Joe’s Apple, Chardonney Chicken Sausage.
I’m also super into sauerkraut this week!
I tried out this Picadillo recipe! It was pretty good, the green olives definitely added something a little special but I’m not a huge green pepper fan.
