34 weeks pregnant! woot woot! The dress is Greta Maternity Dress from Stitch Fix 🙂 Like anything else I or KJ owns that’s worth sharing ha ha
Hi friends! I have to be quick because little man has been awake since 545AM (why why why so early?), so I need to finish up this post and start our day! First of all, happy Easter weekend and Passover to those of you who celebrate those holidays! This weekend will be pretty laid back for us. We will likely have an Easter vigil meal/celebration with my in-laws and then do something small (maybe a really laid-back backyard Easter egg hunt) with KJ on Sunday. I’m bummed to miss going to church for the second year in a row. Watching on TV is definitely not the same. But, with being so close to my due date, Mr. Hungry and I decided to skip it for one more year. Whatever your plans are this weekend, I hope they are filled with wonderful weather (I love spring), peace, and joy.
Today I’m making and photographing all my summer freezer meals for maternity leave! I’m excited to get that off the to-do list and to share it with all of you! Since this baby is due in May vs. the fall like KJ, I feel like I’m not in the mood for hot soups and crockpot meals. Figuring out what to make was a challenge at first, but now I’ve got it down! (See my maternity healthy freezer meals I made last time here.)
Adios amigos!

I flew through The Last Flight in TWO days. I could not put it down! The book follows two women, strangers to one another, in dire situations who, at the last minute, switch plane tickets given each other a headstart at a new life. When one of the flights crashes, one woman realizes she got more than what she bargained for. Here life is now intertwined with the other woman’s past and secrets she fought to keep hidden. It was a thrilling and suspenseful page-turner that I couldn’t put down!
Magnolia Canisters
I don’t think I ever shared but I LOVE these canisters I picked up at Target a couple of months ago. I got the coffee, flour, salt, and pepper ceramic canisters and I love the simplistic farmhouse vibe they’ve got going on!
FDA Cleared Apps to Prevent Pregnancy
Since so many of you have reached out on IG saying you were interested in natural pregnancy prevention such as NFP I wanted to share this article with you! The Clue App was recently approved by the FDA for pregnancy prevention, and while I love that the FDA is willing to do that, they clearly need to brush up on researched backed NFP methods such as the symptothermal methods vs unreliable methods such as the rhythm method/calendar method (which is pretty much as effective as pulling and praying if you catch my drift.)
For reference, I always recommend anyone who wants to get started with NFP (natural family planning) read Taking Charge of Your Fertility and use either the Kindara App (that’s what I use) or the article mentions the Natural Cycles App as another good contender. My OB prefers his patients to use paper charts as the BEST way to chart, but I think that’s a bit unrealistic in today’s world. That’s advice I usually prefer to ignore, it’s just not as convenient as Kindara which to me charts all the same things and gives you a prediction. Hope that information is helpful!
Fitness
This week I’ve been getting out every morning for a 30-45 minute walk with KJ and Nala. I set my alarm 30 minutes earlier, and it made all the difference in actually getting out of the house every morning before my childcare gets here. Plus, with it heating up in the afternoons now (the lower 90s), it’s definitely better for this pregnant lady to get out in the AM. I also noticed that getting up earlier and going for longer walks has helped with the uncomfortable anxiety/shaky feeling I was getting in the afternoon.
Basically, my Doctor said the shaky feeling can be a result of pregnancy hormones acting like thyroid hormones and then you get symptoms of hyperthyroidism. I got two workouts this week from the E & E program because my doctor said I needed to get back on the workouts to help. The upper body workout felt great, but my pelvis and back got pretty sore after the lower body workout. #notworthit I’ll probably stick with upper body or do the lower body workouts with zero weight going forward.
