Lot’s of new faces around here! If you recently subscribed to HH, FFFF stands for Friday Food, Fitness, and Favorites! It’s where I share the randomness of the behind the scenes Shallal household of the week!
Hello friends, happy freaking Friday! I’m so excited about this weekend! I love the holidays, but I also love the luxury of open weekends on not the holidays. Sadly AZ leads the nation in COVID cases again, so it’s not like we will be going anywhere or doing much of anything anyway, but I still love a Friday.
Mr. Hungry and I finished Love Island – Australia. Without spoiling it, let’s say I was a little disappointed with the winners and what I looked up afterward. I’ll be saving the rest of Love Island seasons and shows (including the UK version) for when I need a billion TV shows while breastfeeding 24/7. But, we have shameless and Vikings to catch up on, cue the staying up too late, regretting it, and repeating.
What shows are you guys into recently?

New Kitchen Toy! – Dehydrator
So my Aunt brought me her old dehydrator, which is based on her story of dehydrating apples at a house she hasn’t owned for 20 plus years. It is quite old but works like a charm! I feel like a dehydrator is something I would have NEVER bought myself, but I love this hammy down! The first thing I made was some fruit leather, which turned out so delicious! I learned in the process you should rotate the trays, and the puree leather needs to be uniformly thin. Next time, I’ll use all the trays and rotate them to keep cooking even. The next thing I’m going to dehydrate is lemon slices from our lemon tree! If you have any great dehydrator recipes, send them to me!

Setting Up Black Friday Baby Purchases
I felt a little silly setting up our Black Friday purchases four months before the baby is due, BUT we needed to make sure everything was all good since some of the return policies are 30 days (looking at you, Amazon.) I’m not sure if I mentioned this yet, but, for KJ I did a safari theme, so for Baby 2, I thought woodland would be cute! I’m thinking about doing a “what I bought for Baby #2 post” but, I think I’ll do that after the little one comes. That way, I can compare the experience of having used said items (such as the snuggle me) versus not.

Trader Joe’s Almond Butter Cereal
OMG, this cereal is SOOOO delicious. I don’t know if it’s a pregnancy thing or what, but I’m on a serious cereal kick. This box was gone in three days. That being said, it is a SUPER CRUNCHY cereal, so I let mine soak a while before eating. (I cracked two teeth a couple of years ago, resulting in two root canals, so I’m a little paranoid about my teeth.)

Fitness – Week 21/22 Pregnancy
This week I haven’t worked out much. I had an issue with my calf cramping up, moving to the most painful shin splints of my life, that I’ve been afraid to trigger again. I had the same thing when pregnant with KJ, it’s a beast, so I took a week off to help calm down the cramping and manage it. (Because the initial strategy of ignoring and working out anyway escalated things 10 times.)
Last week, however, I loved the E & E workouts so much! I think I’ve said this before but, I love that you get the same set of workouts to do two weeks in a row. Every time I get to a new set it feels like a mini-milestone, has passed! In general, my workout weeks look like this:
Friday – Rest
Saturday – Cardio Workout
Sunday – Full Body Workout
Monday – Rest
Tuesday – Lower Body Workout
Wednesday – Rest
Thursday – Upper Body Workout
