Man, I REALLY feel for people that have super long daily commutes or have to drive long distances back home frequently. I can definitely feel how much stiffer I am from the multiple trips I’ve been taking back to Arizona. I’m in serious need of a super long yoga sesh! Anyways, on the way to the gym last night I was soooo tired…. like falling asleep tired… so I ended up making it an early night.
Even though I was so tired I pushed through my interpretation of Speedy Hills from week 4 of the Summer Shape 2013 cardio schedule at the fitnessista.com.
You will FEEL every single muscle in your legs with this workout and torch some serious calories. Adding hills into my treadmill routine isn’t something I do enough. I definitely need to remember to work it in on a weekly basis because it’s one of the best ways to build running strength and endurance. After I got done, I went through the first two supersets of the workout #4 and “saved” the ab sets for today so I could head to the store 😉
I stopped at Vons and here is the loot of randomness I ended up with:
Not exactly a full grocery shopping trip, but I think it will hold me over till this weekend. I’ve got to have bananas in the house at all times, its like some sort of rule. If I don’t have them, I noticed I’ll end up buying one (like yesterday) out, which is a total rip off because then you pay like a $1.00 per banana!!!!
For dinner I popped in the toaster oven a Trader Joe’s Pizza Primavera
Acceptable stats for a frozen pizza don’t cha think?
….and of course I topped it with lots of crushed red pepper and more parmesan!
The pizza was loaded with veggies, pretty flavorful (yes I could still taste it under all that red pepper), and the crust was super flaky. It only took 10 minutes in the toaster oven so while it was going I made some chia pudding for this morning!
Questions of the day:
Have you found any healthy frozen foods lately you can stock for quick meal?
Do you or have you every had to commute a super long way to work?
Did you ever have to travel frequently between states to visit a significant other or loved one?
