Happy 4th! I hope you are having fun celebrating! If you need a quick workout check out my workout page or 23 boredom busting treadmill workouts. I’m just popping in to share with you some of the fun from my birthday. I know some of you have been following along on insta and snapchat (hungryhobbyrd), thank you for the birthday wishes! I actually started celebrating on Friday morning with a rainy hike with a friend and Nala at the Lost Dutchman Park.
We went up the Siphon Draw trail, but only part of the way, the farther we got up the mountain the more it rained!
On Saturday I woke up to start the day off by joining my run group at 5:30am.
I thought about running 8 miles for 28 but I barely made it 6 miles. It was a hard, hot, and humid run!
Post run we took Nala to the dog park to help her get some of her energy out. I swear 30 minutes at the dog park wears her out more than 60 minutes jogging with me.
Then I treated myself to a coconut mocha latte from Coffee Rush, it was so delicious!
Then I finally got my hair done for the first time since February!
When I got home we had a couple of glasses of wine while I opened up my presents. I’m super excited to try the percolator I got from Mr. Hungry today! Does anyone else put frozen fruit in their wine?
I decided I really wanted a pizookie for my dessert so we went to Oregano’s in downtown Gilbert.
I know I snapchatted some of the fun, but it’s worth mentioning again, the shrimp scampi was delicious!
And their Julias Caesar salad is one of the best ceasar salads I’ve ever had!
The real fun was the salted caramel pizookie, I can still taste the super sweat cookie dough center!
That’s it! Enjoy your holiday weekend!
