Whew what a week! T.G.I.F. without a doubt…. let me here it again T.G.I.F… after a week of random posting how about we end with the usual blog recap of daily eats and workouts.
Green Juice is a must, as many mornings as possible, this morning I made it happen. Paul was at the gym playing basketball so I stuck his in a Mason Jar and put it in the fridge.
Breakfast was made the night before and packed in my lunch box to eat in the morning when I get to work. I really don’t like to eat before 7am, and I leave at 630am so I bring it with me most mornings.
I also ate a half a banana on the way to work and the other half right before lunch. When lunch time rolled around I was so ready for it, all week I’ve pretty much had the same thing chicken and caramelized butternut squash salad, its super delicious.
One day I had it with leftover salmon and that was really good too.
Add both those salads to the I’m Loving Autumn Squash post from a few days ago! I ate a pear on the way home from work and a mini uber bar when I got home before crossfit.
Big news! I actually joined a crossfit gym, okay I’m doing a one month trial but I’m committed. I really love crossfit style workouts and how when you go to crossfit (versus doing it on your own) you are pushed to keep going. The crossfit gym I joined has everything I want, it’s practically walking distance from my house, good coaches, and a fun community of members. Yesterday’s WOD was based off of Save the Dates for two of their members…
Since it was a short one (I finished in 14:09, and I did an extra set of jumping squats because I’m bad at keeping count) we did some technically training… I learned how to do double unders… sort of and then we did some tabbata training focused on Abs. I’m excited to get to know everyone and start building some muscle up… I’ve got endurance down okay but I feel like I am a weakling…
I wasn’t really that hungry for dinner but I threw together some breakfast chicken sausage that Paul cooked up, with some leftover quinoa/brussel sprout mix and spinach. The picture is ugly, for some reason the lighting makes the meat looked uncooked, so we will skip that mmmmkay? But I will admit I apparently was in the mood to attack the yogurt covered raisins in our trail mix and dark chocolate from Hawaii….
Oh well about that, today is Friday and I’m going to live the weekend up, soak up every minute with my Paul, unwrap wedding gifts, go to the grocery store early, watch basketball games, and DE-STRESS! What are your plans?
