This Paleo Cinnamon Raisin Bread is a healthier but equally delicious version of your favorite sweet bread. Be prepared to make more than one batch!
Hi Friends!  Today I’ve got a recipe for you that will make you swoon at first bite, Paleo Cinnamon Raisin Bread! I know I said that this week was all about the leftovers, but really there are only so many ways I an make turkey into an enchilada.
I told you, I make Mexican food with my leftover turkey and let everyone else consume the stuffing and what not. So today, you get the most delicious bread I’ve ever made! The slightly sweet cinnamon smell that filled the air while it was baking was almost as much torture as letting it cool slightly cool before slicing the first piece from the freshly baked loaf.
This loaf has a lightly crisp crust and a moist cinnamon inside with sweet bites of raisins in every mouthful. How could I not share it?
This recipe is an old one but a good one from 2014, three years ago! I knew I needed to bring it back with better photos for this holiday season. It’s the perfect breakfast to have around for your guests for the days leading up to the holidays or on the holiday itself.
You could also wrap it up and take it with you, even if you are traveling it will make it. What says love more than freshly baked cinnamon raisin bread? NOTHING!
Do you have your shopping done? We went on Sunday but I’m sure we forgot things that we will have to run out for. Good thing at my new house I have fifteen stores in a 1-mile radius so it isn’t too inconvenient.
Remember, if you are scrambling last minute to finish off your Thanksgiving menu or find something to bring, check out my healthy Thanksgiving menu! It’s complete with a how to do what and when, but also, a complete shopping list! Get on it people! This will only be available for the month then it goes away so make sure you check it out!

solid recipe. I threw in a couple of curve balls just to change it up a little bit. i used just under 1/2 cup of applesauce to limit the moisture content, unsalted kerrygold butter (bc irish butter rocks), and honey to replace to coconut sugar.
Bryan says
…i also cooked it an additional 25 minutes…no it wasn’t dry.
Kelli Shallal MPH RD says
Great suggestions! I love this bread but it was a bit moist, glad you could perfect it!

Love the low sugar in this recipe. Raisins do provide a really great sweetness so it’s nice that you could use them to amp up the sweet flavor in this recipe without having to add extra sugar. This bread looks a little dense from your photos and I think that is especially appealing as I enjoy more substantial sweet treats. Thanks for sharing!
Kelli Shallal MPH RD says
Almond meal is definitely a more dense bread product but I love that too!

Yum! I love cinnamon raisin bread and will definitely have to give this recipe a try! I’ve also never put peanut butter on my cinnamon raisin bread, so I will have to try that out too 🙂 Great post!

I bet this smells amazing when it is cooking – and two thumbs up to peanut butter spread on it + to ants on a log!
Kelli Shallal MPH RD says
It did smell amazing, love peanut butter and raisins… just give me big spoonfuls!

I love spreading crunchy almond butter on cinnamon toast! I’ve been meaning to make my own cinnamon bread for ages but still haven’t gotten around to it. I bet your home smelled great afterwards- it’s torture while you wait for the baking to be done, but I love how my home smells after baking!
Kelli Shallal MPH RD says
Me too! That’s what makes the hard work of baking pay off right? The smell and the delicious warm slices of heaven 🙂

I give you major props for making up a paleo recipe that actually worked out! It’s not an easy thing to do, and this raisin bread looks so good!

I have never been a raisin fan but… I can easily ditch em and chow down on the CINNAMON BREAD! 😀 😀 😀

Right? so good!
Dietitian Jess says
Love the use of applesauce to naturally sweeten instead of banana- I get sick of bananas in baked good. This sounds delicious, looove raisins!
