Welcome to December everyone! Happiest month of the year/most stressful depending on if your glass half empty or half full type person. Life is what you make of it though right? Right. Lets quickly get down to business of whats on the docket for this week.
I have decided that tomorrow I’m going to a nearby crossfit gym and signing up for their one month trial. I already know that I LOVE crossfit style workouts, just not sure if I’m ready to give up my regular gym to be able to afford it, or if this particular box will be right for me. Anyways, I have another run coming up mid-December so I made a two week plan to help me balance crossfit and running till then.
I think one of the reasons my running speed increased so dramatically recently was the time I had to rest. That shows me how important rest really is. Plus, I read in Women’s Health this week that women who worked out four days a week ended up burning as many calories as those that worked out 6 times a week and felt less stressed (maybe because their schedules weren’t as hectic.) It will also be interesting to see after working out in the morning how I feel changing to evenings. I don’t like working out late, but I don’t mind it so much if I have a commitment made like a class. If I’m just working out on my own then I feel like it’s looming over my head all day and I’m constantly thinking in my head about what I’m going to do or if I can get out of it. A scheduled class takes that away, all I have to do is show up.

The Advent Jar- 24 Days of Togetherness
Last year I saw the 24 Days of Togetherness on CNC and I knew it would be perfect for our first Christmas as Mr & Mrs. Basically it is like an advent calendar, each day you draw from the jar and it gives you something to do together. I thought since today is the first day and Sunday it was cute we got Pray Together, a little reminder of what Christmas is really about. I will be documenting as much as possible each day at hungryhobby.net and on instagram.
