Honey chipotle salmon is brushed with a sweet and fiery six-ingredient honey chipotle sauce, baked until the sauce is caramelized on top, and the salmon is light and flaky.
Hi friends!
I’m so excited to be sharing this honey chipotle salmon recipe with you, it’s one I’ve wanted to share for quite some time now! It’s super easy, requires only a few ingredients, and did I mention it has one of my favorite things? Honey Chipotle Sauce!
I’ve said it before, but there are tons of types of chipotle sauces, and I love them all. There is creamy chipotle sauce for tacos and sandwiches, BBQ chipotle sauce for grilling, and this delicious Honey Chipotle sauce recipes for wings and, of course, salmon!
It’s only 6-ingredients, and all you have to do is whip it up in the blender, no cooking or hassle required, I promise!
How to Make Honey Chipotle Salmon
First, you will whip up your honey-chipotle sauce in a food processor or blender. You’ll only need a half batch for this recipe, or if you only make two pieces of salmon as I did, you’ll need 1/4 batch of the sauce.
Since there isn’t much you can do with 1/2 can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, so I recommend you go ahead and make the whole batch. You can freeze the rest or keep in the fridge for up to a week.
Now, prep your salmon by placing it on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Then brushing it with the honey chipotle sauce, you can brush a lot on, or a little! Up to you! Just be careful not to contaminate the big batch with raw salmon if you want to reuse it for say, I don’t know, grilled honey chipotle wings!
Now, just bake the salmon for 15-20 minutes. Mr. Hungry and I like our salmon a little more well done, especially given the fact that we live nowhere near any body of water salmon would come from initially. However, I know that some of you don’t like your salmon super well done, so cook it till your desired doneness is achieved. I like mine light and flaky but cooked 100% all the way through.
I also sprinkled mine with some fresh parsley, because it’s pretty. It’s more of a garnish, so it’s optional!
Enjoy, and let me know if you try this one!
