34th Birthday Recap
Thank you so much for all your birthday wishes on my last Friday’s Favorites! I started the day with a deluxe pedicure and SNS manicure.
Then, we went out for dinner with Mr. Hungry’s parents! We usually ask them to watch the kids when we go out, but this time we got a sitter and had a nice dinner out. It was nice to be able to talk without the kids interrupting. haha

We went to Nando’s and got Fourth of July Margs + I ate my weight in chips and ordered fajitas for my meal!
The margs were terrific! Sometimes flavored margaritas are too sweet for me, but these were perfect!

Fourth of July Weekend Recap
We started Sunday going to church. This is the best photo I could get. Mr. Hungry stayed home because he had been up in the middle of the night with asthma issues, poor guy. So I met up with Mr.Hungry’s parents at church, and although they tried to help, both kids were being super clingy for Mommy. Eventually, I just moved to the back cry room, which was empty, and we made it through!

That afternoon we had an impromptu birthday/house-warming party! We only invited people six days in advance and still had over 30 people show up. It was so much fun! Mr. Hungry and I realized that even though it’s a lot of work, we both really like hosting gatherings. Anyways, I got some inspiration from Pinterest for the snacks we served!
And some help from Albertson’s (aka time tunnel back to the 90s) with Fourth of July bowls, plates, and napkins.
And I used this wine glass trick to learn to make a salami rose! It was so easy!
And Mr. Hungry got me a Costco cake – probably the best cake ever.

Silicone Toddler Cup
I may be premature in sharing this cup, but so far, I’m impressed! It’s like a Comotomo bottle but in sippy cup form. With KJ, I used the plastic Nuk cups, but since reading Brain Health from Birth, I’ve tried to avoid using plastic cups with the kids. So instead, we’ve been using the stainless steel 360 Munchkin cups, which are okay but heavy when dropped and sometimes leak. We got this cup yesterday, and so far, absolutely zero leaking when tossed on the ground. It’s 100% food-grade silicone, so it’s not plastic but also not likely to chip your floor when thrown. (PS, like the comotomo bottle, there is plastic on some parts, like the handles, but overall, none of the plastic actually touches the water. So far, I’m a big fan.
Unfortunately, it’s expensive for a baby cup, but I ordered another one to have one for water and one for milk. It’s worth it so far!
Fitness
Unfortunately, I’ve been dealing with neck pain the last couple of days, so workouts haven’t quite been where I want them to be. Plus, it’s been really hot, and we’ve had morning swim lessons, so walks haven’t been there either. It’s an off week for Fitness. That happens. We just keep moving on! Here is what I did get done this week:
Friday – I think I did a treadmill run!
Saturday – Total Body Workout 30 Minutes
Sunday – OFF
Monday – HIIT Workout 30 minutes
Tuesday – OFF
Wednesday – Ran 3 miles
Thursday – OFF neck pain
I started the train your best 5K plan on Aaptiv. It has four runs a week, I do two runs, so it will probably take me 16 weeks to complete the 8-week program. haha
