Hi friends! How was your Thanksgiving? We have our Thanksgiving menu down like the back of our hands nowadays. We always make bacon, green beans, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, cornbread, cornbread stuffing, and turkey. We use store-bought cranberry sauce from the can, and Mr. Hungry’s mom makes a plethora of pies.
I don’t know how, but I forgot to take a picture of my plate. Probably because I was too busy taking pictures of my table set up I was so proud of! I honestly had SO much fun putting it all together. It made me so happy to do something a little fancy and extra special for our first family gathering since COVID.
Fall napkins | Acorn Napkin Rings |Wicker Chargers | Gravy Boats | Kids Coloring Placemats |Name card holders | Mason Jars | Wicker Pumpkin (from Hobby Lobby last year) | Tree Stump Slice (mine is a literal slice from a tree that my mom’s friend was cutting down lol, but the linked one is similar) –> a lot of these items are on a massive sale right now if you want to score them for next year!
In each name cardholder, I put a little question like:
- What would it be if you could only eat 3 of the foods on the table for the rest of your life?
- Who is the funniest person at the table, and why?
- What are you most grateful for?
- What is your favorite Thanksgiving memory?
- If you could start a new Thanksgiving tradition, what would it be?
I also created a little bar and pie station behind the table! Although to be fair, I only have that many pie stands because I’m a food blogger, but I might as well put them to use, right?
I batched, made, and served:
(Pies were in transit when I took photos lol)
As I said, I had a ton of fun putting it together, and everyone seemed to enjoy the extra touch to make this year special!

This week’s meal plan is in your inbox!
Are we friends on Instagram (@hungryhobbyRD) ? In case you missed it, I wanted to post it here! I partnered with RW Garcia’s crackers to share this fun Christmas party charcuterie board! I had so much fun making this board, and it was just as stunning in person as it is in the photos! The IG post below shows exactly what you need to pull it off.

Smoothies Everyday
We went through our Smoothiebox super fast this month! It’s been a smoothie kind of morning most mornings!
Green Juice Time of the Year
And we’ve had the sickies, so I dragged out the juicer, and it’s been bottoms up with 32 ounces of green juice each day! (Here is how I make my green juice.)
Daily Harvest Bites
We got to do a little taste test of Daily Harvest’s freezer bites!
- The banana and cacao bites were delicious enough that I eat them for dessert!
- The raspberry and fig bites are uber refreshing during snack time!
- Last but not least, the matcha and murasaki bites are the perfect quick pick me up in the morning!
I love these snack/dessert offerings from Daily Harvest (see full review here)! They’ve saved me quite a few times when breastfeeding hunger strikes between meals!
Eating Well Magazine Soup
I made the Pasta and White Bean soup from this month’s edition of Eating Well Magazine. I added butternut squash, used chickpea noodles instead of whole wheat, and paired it with Tuscan garlic bread from Great Harvest Bread Co. for a DELICIOUS meal ready in 20 minutes. I also got these new placemats at Target 🙂
Fitness
I was scaling up my activity last week until the ickies hit, and I’ve basically been in survival mode. Today is the first day I’m finally feeling better, hoping and praying the kids don’t get sick now. A few photos from last week, though!
