These are refreshing and slightly healthier Crushed Cherry Margaritas. This cocktail is for pulp lovers only because it uses the whole cherry and not just the juice. The perfect summer cocktail, or anytime you want a fruity margarita!
Happy Fourth of July Friends! First up, a big shout out to everyone who keeps this country free so that we can sleep soundly at night. Second, it’s time to celebrate with some Crushed Cherry Margaritas!
Here is the deal, for some reason I despise liquors. I never want my drink to have them. Possibly because I don’t like sweet alcoholic beverages and partially because I think liquors are an unnecessary sweetener in cocktails.
Side note, I haven’t always felt that way though, like that time in college when my roommate and I drank pucker straight from the bottle all night one night. Thank God my drink choices have evolved since then.
I set out to make this margarita sweet but not overpowering I’m drinking my dessert sweet. I also did something a little different than most margarita recipes, and I didn’t strain the cocktail, I drank it as is with all the crushed cherry pulp.
I did try to strain it and it didn’t work, so I took a sip and decided then and there I was going to drink it like that! It wasn’t until Mr. Hungry tried it and HATED it. I realized people who don’t like pulp will despise this recipe. Whatever, haters gonna hate, I’m drinking my crushed cherry margarita!
Like I said, if you are like Mr. Hungry and hate pulp, you probably won’t be a fan of this recipe! That’s okay though, more for me because I will happily drink all these down! Happy Fourth Friends! Hope your day is filled with all things barbecue and fun!
