Thank you to Perfect Fit Meals for sponsoring this post and providing me meals to sample, as always all opinions and thoughts are my own!
Some days I feel like I’m constantly on the go and there are more things to do in the day then hours available. With the holidays right around the corner, I know that many of you can relate.
I am pretty good at meal prep, but there have been weeks where I was spread too thin and it just didn’t happen. Usually on those days I would try and grab the healthiest thing I could think of out somewhere, but eating out all the time is never ideal. That’s why when Becky Nichols, RD f contacted me with trying Perfect Fit Meals a healthy, convenient, ready-to-eat meal option that is never frozen and contains no preservatives, I was super excited, it was just what I needed to get back on track. They sent me four meals to try–>
In fact, the timing couldn’t have been better because she sent the box the week we moved into our new house, there was no way food prep was going to happen that week. It literally was the best time saver ever because it totally eliminated extra mess and clean up!

My favorite was definitely the Coconut Chicken! The meat was tender, the flavor was awesome, and I felt way better about lunch compared to jerky and carrots.
I’m totally on board with the breakdown of macronutrients too, this one had 32 grams of protein! Another benefit was that carbohydrates came in low glycemic index form and in moderate amounts helping to promote balanced blood sugar and satiety. This meal contains 300 calories (all Perfect Fit Meals clock in under 400), but that was most likely do to it’s lower fat content. I ate some cashews as a snack later for the healthy fat which worked out well.
Mr. Hungry helped me sample all the meals so I could get a male perspective. He thought the meals tasted really good (his favorite was the chicken carbonara), but the portion were more snack size for him. This was pretty much our only criticism, the portion control can be great for some but for others just may not be enough to keep hunger at bay.

For myself, and many of my nutrition coaching clients every second of the day matters, that’s where Perfect Fit Meals could be a game changer. It’s a convenience option that is not only wholesome, but also taste as fresh as if you had just made it. I know during the holiday season there will be times that I fail on meal prepping or just plain run out of time to get everything done. It’s great to know I can swing by the store and grab one of these instead of an expensive meal out, saving me time and money. I really want to try the Bunless Turkey Burger next, for some reason that one is totally calling by name. I’m excited because although they are a Texas based company, they are launching in Arizona Albertsons this month! Not in Arizona or Texas? They are in many states, click here to check out their location page and find a retailer near you.
