Happy Thursday Friends! I hope your having a fantastic week so far! I’ve got a couple of things to share with you that I’m super excited about, so let’s jump into yesterday. I’m still rocking the chorizo and sweet potato for breakfast while I study in the morning. It’s a delicious combination ready for me to eat without dirtying any dishes, gotta love that.
Now for the exciting news, during our weekly meeting I was awarded Most Valuable Trainer for the month of of December!
The award was based on excelling in the Know It. Nourish It. categories. I can’t tell you how excited I am to have won, it reinforces what I feel more and more every day. This is the perfect job for me and I couldn’t be happier. I mean who couldn’t be happier when you get to be a part of things like this at work….

Lunch came right after the meeting, another adult lunchable (grassfed bison, avocado, tomatoes, cucumbers, carrots and snap peas). The picture is recycled, I didn’t have the yogurt, I actually had it with me but forgot to eat it!
Another exciting announcement is I passed the Metabolic Technician Certification. I can now perform resting metabolic assessments, active metabolic assessments, and provide metabolic coaching plans. I love being an RD, but I also love exercise and science. I love that my job gives me an opportunity to help people understand how their bodies work from the inside out in order to create change. Moving on I snacked on aKIND bar late afternoon (yogurt had gone bad by then I figured) which carried me through till dinner. (Recycled photo, it was actually Vanilla Madagascar.)
I did a few intervals on the treadmill, nothing too exciting (90 secs jog, one min walk). Hey, it’s a start though, I’ll take it! Dinner was two chicken sausages and leftover roasted delicata squash at like 9:30pm.
I’ve started working out after work so I can study/blog in the morning, so far the schedule works well except sometimes I end up eating way later than I would like. One thing I’ve noticed is eating later cut down on my late night snacking, so that’s a good thing!
Have a great day!
