Wow, this past two weeks went fast! The baby's baptism was last weekend so we had family in town. I've recorded so many of the most important events in my family on this blog, I'm so happy to have a place to share this one.
It was such a treat to have Father Scott preside over a private ceremony. Father Scott went to high school with Mr. Hungry. He was a Deacon at the time of our wedding at which he said the homily, so it was a special treat to have him at another very important in our lives.
For Godparents, we chose Mr.Hungry's sister, who you may remember as the MOH at my wedding. And my friend Zach who've I known since I was 10 years old. I know sometimes godparents can't always make it to the ceremony so we were so blessed to have both of them there.
We kept the ceremony VERY small because I'm super paranoid about flu season. Plus, the process of getting him to the ceremony and making it through the ceremony was more tiring than I thought it would be. Afterward, we hosted a very small gathering (gave baby a bottle and mama rewarded herself with some wine). Of course, we had a cake! (Ordered from Safeway, super easy peasy!)
Plus I made my cranberry bliss bars which were a HUGE hit! People ate more of those than the cake!
It was a nice day, thanks for letting me share it here with you guys!
