Hi friends, guess what?!? Â Last night Mr. Hungry and I went to a reggae concert (that’s why I wasn’t able to get a post up last night) I mean Reggae isn’t my thing, I don’t really LOVE it or HATE it, but Mr. Hungry likes it so I figured why not go on a little date. Â When I got home from work we changed and headed out to Tempe because we weren’t sure how long it would take to get there. Â Turns out it didn’t take that long so we got there really early, which was good because I was starving! Â Since Marquee theater doesn’t have food we headed to downtown Tempe and settled on the quickest thing we could find which was Which Wich. Â I’ve been trying really hard to reduce my intake of food that is on my food sensitivity list so I opted for the cordon blue with ham, chicken, mustard, tomatoes, and cucumber “lettucewiched”
It was delicious and super filling despite the fact it was really just lunch meat and vegetables. Â I was definitely glad we ate because I would have miserable standing for four hours without some sort of food in my belly. Â The concert was awesome, I enjoyed it so much more than I thought I would!
The opening acts were okay, but for some reason I just can’t understand what they are saying… it’s like Reggae lyrics are a totally different language. Â However, the actually band totally blew me away. Â It’s like a cross between Bob Marley and John Mayer, not only could I understand it, but I actually enjoyed it a lot. Â I loved that they had multiple different instruments including the saxophone, my fav. Â So there you go, you can always try new things! Â I thought it would be a bunch of stoned high school kids, but the crowd was pretty diverse. Â As for the venue, Marquee theater isn’t exactly impressive, it’s all first come first serve. Â I was happy we ate before because there is no food served and no coffee (I sound like I’m in my 20’s with no kids right? Â ha ha I guess I’m more of a homebody then I thought.) Â We did share a really strong drink though, which was really just enough!
Hope your having a good week!
