I’m bummed. I was so sick the last week that I missed every single Black Friday sale, except one. I was too sick to even shop. (Mr. Hungry is not sad about that haha.) The only thing I was able to snag myself was a holiday ruggable cover I’ve been eyeing for two years. So, now, I’m lamenting as I put together this gift guide on all the things I want and potentially could have bought on sale. Oh, well! That’s life!
As always and just like my gift guide for babies and toddlers, and gift guides for preschoolers, I spend a decent amount of time really putting together guides that are helpful and things I would actually give friends and family. I literally had to set a time limit, or I could have been researching (looking up things I want) for weeks and would never publish this before Christmas. Anyway, I hope you find the list helpful!
Hotel Getaway for Moms
*****Hotel Getaway – If she is a mom, then what she probably wants is a night all to herself. Luxury room with an oversized bathtub, early check-in, late check-out, unlimited room service, her favorite snacks and drinks, a massage and/or a facial, and a clean house when she comes home. Oh, and the kids can’t be bored AF when she gets there, take them out while she is gone. Take that word for word and you’ll have a slam dunk, for sure.
Stanley Cup
After ordering several disappointing Stanley Cup knocks-offs in an attempt to save a few dollars, I could say with confidence that if she doesn’t have one yet, or doesn’t have one in her favorite color, you are sure to win with a name-brand Stanley cup.
UGG Slippers
Slippers are something I almost never buy myself, but appreciate them when I’m gifted them. Ugg slippers are the ultimate luxury, but these Amazon knockoffs have fabulous reviews at half the price!
For people who like full-foot slippers like these cute knit ones from Pottery Barn, L.L. Bean, or Anthropologie (I love the speckled pattern on these), they look super cozy too! And I like these from Banana Republic for those who prefer a more open-sandal-style slipper!
Tidal Waver
I got to be honest, I didn’t think I would love my Tidal Waver as much as I have loved it. I got so sick of doing the same curls all the time and wanted to jazz up my hair, but not spend forever doing it. This Tidal Waver has done just that, I LOVE it!
Other hair/beauty-centric ideas would be a Dyson air wrap (pricey but a winner for sure) and the beach waver (one of those things she may not get herself because the curling iron “works” but the beach waver has a slightly different style to it and is worth it or so I hear… again I have a curling iron, but would love to have this too!)
Minimalistic Pill Box
This upgrade to a pill box is the perfect stocking stuffer! It’s so beautiful and discreet, my current supplement box screams 99-cent store geriatric department. This would be a solid upgrade, just saying. Plus, it somewhat satisfies my millennial minimalism obsession (which will never be satisfied fully while I have kids destroying my house faster than I can clean it.)
Skims Sleepwear/Lounge Set
I got to be honest, I didn’t want to love SKIMS as much as I do. But, as one of my good friends says, once you SKIMS you don’t go back. This lounge set looks buttery smooth and ultra soft, like everything else SKIMS I’ve tried.
More ideas for her closet would be to grab a few more pairs of Lulu’s, I’ve finally converted to the dark side and LOVE my Lulu align leggings. (When I worked at the gym we were forced to wear these weird Lulu work lines that made me hate Lululemon for many years, I’ve finally let it go and joined the cult craze.) A girl can never have enough really good leggings in enough colors, I can promise you that. Beyond Yoga is another yoga pants line that feels like butter when wearing and is totally worth the price!
Folding Charger and Stand
This folding charger and stand is the ultimate convenience all in one! Obviously, this could be for him or her!
Scratch Off Dates
If her love language is quality time, I think this It’s a Date Scratch Off Dates set would be something she would love and look forward to!
Bath/Bathroom Accessories
If you’ve been around HH for any length of time, you know that I LOVE my baths.
One thing I’ve learned is there are two types of people in this world, bath lovers and bath haters. There don’t seem to be too many in between. As someone who loves a good hot bath, bath accessories are always appreciated now that I have a stand-alone bathtub. If you know someone who LOVES baths, then a surefire (and great for last-minute shopping) gift is bath accessories. There are so many to choose from:
Along the lines of bathing and luxury bathrooms, I wouldn’t say no to a towel warmer ya know? Luxury at its finest for bath and shower lovers alike.
Same with this waterproof speaker – great stocking stuffer for shower and bathroom lovers alike!
Beauty Ideas
Is it just me that would be ecstatic to get these cute little bags for travel? Organization at its finest with a girlie flare.
Other beauty favorites of mine are hydra-gel toner (feels like silk, it’s amazing), vitamin C serum, and the smooth, bright mask from Beauty Counter.
I also love this hair tie holder, super cute claw clips, hair towel, toiletry travel set, my huge makeup bag I love, and makeup eraser.
More fun ideas:
- Hand-crafted luxury candles (on the pricy side, but a luxury item for the person that’s hard to give gifts too!)
- Zesica loungewear set from Amazon – one of my favorites was sent to me as a gift after KK was born! I still wear this set all the time!
- Beyond Yoga –is one of my favorite athleisure lines, especially their joggers! I also loved their maternity clothes when pregnant, in case you know a pregnant Mama. Buttery smooth, not see-through, and high quality!
- Memories: Nixplay frame – send your photos from your phone directly to this digital frame. This will probably be on every gift guide I ever make. I’ve also been eyeing an at-home photo printer.
- Gift card ideas: A gift card to Sephora, Ulta, or her favorite beauty company so she can splurge a bit on exactly what she likes! I also recommend a Stitchfix Giftcard, a gift card to her favorite coffee shop or spa/nail salon. Or maybe go in as a family on the hotel idea. You could have her siblings or parents get a gift card for the spa/room service while you book the room!
- Cookbooks: Here are a few of my favorite: 30 Day Weight Loss Plan and Cookbook (shameless plug), Meal Prep Guide for Weight Loss (shameless plug), Skinnytaste Air Fryer Cookbook, PaleOMG cookbook, Ma Baseema Cookbook (Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean cookbook), and Bread on the Table (Baking Book with stories of the recipe origin from across Europe.)
- Air Pod Decorative Case This one is adorable, but there are also dozens of options on Amazon. So if you need a last-minute, small gift for a friend, this could be it!
- Temp-controlled mug! Can even be personalized for the ultimate gift!
- This personalized birth month flower necklace is the perfect gift for the gardener who has all the garden tools!
- I LOVE the idea of a mini jewelry box for traveling; this one is personalized!
- I did both of these tests (23andme and Ancestory.com) this year (still waiting on the Ancestory results), and since then, so many people told me this was one of their favorite gifts they received over the years! I found the testing process super simple for both tests, and the turnaround time seems about the same. Wondering which one to buy? This is a great article.
- Self cleaning water bottle: Did you know that most reusable water bottles have more bacteria on them than toilet seats? Icky right? These shark tank-endorsed Larq bottles have been on my radar to give as gifts to frequent travelers or really anyone!
- My MIL received some jams and jellies from Bonne Maman that she loves! She was also gifted their tea set and the caramel set and highly recommends that as well! Fun and simple ideas for just about anyone!
