Hi friends!
Fitness
So the motivation for fitness was LOW this week which is a little disappointing because my energy wasn’t as bad as it’s been in the past. If I could blame anything it would be the heat. I also did less walking because after Nala’s raisin fiasco last week we decided to keep her indoors (to prevent dehydration) Friday- Sunday of this past week. She appears to be doing well but I’ll take her back to the vet in a week to make sure her kidney values are okay.
Friday (6/29) – Trimotus
Saturday (6/30) – Swim – I did 1000 meters! I was pretty proud of myself, we won’t say how long it took me but it’s my longest swim in ages!
Sunday (7/1) – off
Monday (7/2) – My Birthday! I did this workout at home before a friend came into town!
Tuesday (7/3) – off
Wednesday (7/4) – Walk Nala 2.5 Miles
Thursday (7/5) – Walk Nala 2.5 Miles and repeat Monday’s workout with a few modifications. I change bicep curls to hammer curls, added some weight to my step ups, unbanded my monster walks and gave up on the last round. The lunges were triggering some sharp SI joint pain that was NOT FUN. Funny how a workout can be fine and then two days later not be. Damn that relaxin hormone!
Food
Not a lot of food to report that I haven’t shared already! Except for this amazing dish from a new to us place called King Gyros we got last Friday night! I wasn’t too into the Dolmas but the salad and the Gyro meat I LOVED! I ate about half my pita and saved the rest for later. Too bad that I forgot the leftovers in the car, imagine how great that smelled the next day.
And if I there is one thing I can’t turn down in the morning it’s a hearty bagel egg sandwich, seriously so good! Not only does it taste good but it fills me up and makes me feel really good! Einsteins is by far my favorite bagel place!
Then, of course, there were the festivities of the week which I recapped here!

Love your blog! What type of prenatal vitamins are you using? And did you use them before getting pregnant? Thanks!

Hi Julia! Thank you! I’m taking Pure Encapsulations Prenatal Nutrients, you used to only be able to get them through a provider like an RD/chiropractor/naturopath etc. but the company recently got bought out by another company so I checked Amazon and they are now available! (affiliate link –> https://amzn.to/2tXmbfU ) Yes, I started taking them about a year before I got pregnant. I know the trend right now is more “whole foods” based vitamins but I prefer synthetic (which just means they don’t have any spinach/kale/berry powders in them) because they don’t make me nauseous. Also, they have two types of folic acid in them and a significant amount of iron. Probably more information than you wanted ha ha! Have a good day!
