Happy Friday! I’m headed out really fast to my in-laws because we have family in town from Michigan, so this is going to be a fast post. But I wanted to share a few highlights of the week. Household items were replaced, making breakfast for dinner, and more. I’m still injured, so there is no fitness section today. Letting my neck heal after I finally got in to see the chiropractor. My feet could use some healing, too. I’m a mess, and it’s 100% hormonal, so I’m just letting things even out before I get back at it. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Breakfast for Dinner and Beyond
I was feeling really behind on having anything prepped for breakfast for the kids. I was out of our healthy waffles (I freeze batches), out of Healthy French Toast (again, I freeze), and was feeling short on time to make them real breakfast options. They were having Larabars for breakfast A LOT, which is expensive and just not my preferred for as often as we were doing it. Then one, day this week, I scrapped our dinner that night and made 3 Ingredient Blender Oat Banana Pancakes for dinner so the rest could be eaten for breakfast during the week. I also got a batch of healthy waffles in the freezer! KJ took the picture on my phone while we did it! He’s getting pretty good at taking pictures ever since we got him his own camera!
Blue Sky Academic Planner
I love these planners so much. I still use academic planners because I have kids in an academic school year and I teach. Blue Sky planners are the absolute best; they are well-organized but also simple/minimalistic. I actually accidentally ordered TWO fakes I had to send back. I know it’s not on prime, but it’s worth it, I promise.
Clean People Dryer Sheets
Another thing I ordered just once a year are these clean people dryer sheets. We weren’t using dryer sheets for a while, but the boys are getting big enough that they are kind of stinky, haha. And Mr. Hungry’s basketball clothes could use some refreshing in the dryer. This Clean People brand has great scores with EWG and works great!
Here is a list of all the nontoxic cleaning/home essentials we use. We don’t do everything nontoxic, but we make switches a little bit at a time. I’ve used most of these brands for years now!
Spiderman Shoes
If you have Spiderman lovers in your house, then they will love these shoes! I actually got them for KJ so that he wouldn’t ruin his Jordans on the plasma car at school (they drag their feet and put holes in the shoes), but then KK really wanted a pair, too! Since he was wearing some real worn-out hammy-down shoes, we got him a pair, too. The boys love them! KK is so obsessed with Spiderman that I think I’m going to make his three-year-old birthday Spiderman-themed.
