Hello, friends!
Happy FriYAY! Every week when I start to put together these posts, I’m like, uhhhhh, what am I gonna say this week? Then I get nervous. I have nothing to talk about because all I did was work all week. But then I go through my phone photos and remember little things I wanted to share with y’all, and I feel better. Like, oh, right, I do have things to talk about other than the usual weekly grind.
And when it comes to things that are not photo related, school-related decisions really got me craving a glass of wine. We’re all set for this school year, but it feels like by the end of next year we have to cement a decision for the rest of our kid’s lives, it’s very overwhelming. Some of that has to do with the current housing market and our preferences for elementary and middle schools within our district (because I’m not moving out of my area.) Some of that has to do with our faith and our concern for our kids growing up within the faith. While, of course, we know we can pull kids out and move them around if necessary, we would like to try and avoid that if possible. And of course, as the old saying goes, “if you’d like to hear God laugh, tell him your plans.” Still, man on man feels very overwhelming because there are just so many factors. –> Would love a glass of wine, 3 1/2 more months to go!
This weekend I’ll be shopping for a nursery chair, and the guys will be making progress on the bathroom! Painting and hopefully replacing some of the essential bathroom components like the toilet and the vanity. Fingers crossed it all goes according to plan!
Favorites
New Sports Bra
I ordered a couple of new nursing sports bras from Target, and I’m so glad I did because they are so much more comfortable than the way too small ones I was wearing up until now. They are also so much nicer than the ones I got off Amazon when Kal was born. I did try to wear those recently, and they still pucker weirdly even though they aren’t too big, not sure what’s going on there.
Easy Dinners
Daily Harvest bowls to the rescue for dinner with ButcherBox chicken apple sausage. I haven’t felt like cooking much this week, so it’s been easy meals. One night we had Teton waters grass-fed hot dogs (from Costco) and air fryer green beans. Another night, I quickly cooked up these chicken apple gouda sausages, and we each (Mr. Hungry and I) picked out a DH bowl to eat with them. Man, the DH bowls are not pretty to photograph, especially with an iPhone, but they taste DELICIOUS and it was so easy. Thankfully next week, I ordered a Hungryroot box to help with meal planning and cooking for preggo, who is very unmotivated at the moment.
Weekend Donuts
Little man chowing down on his new favorite – chocolate donuts with sprinkles! He never had much interest in donuts before this, but since he discovered some of them have sprinkles he is all in!
(Sorry, no idea why the quality on some of these photos is so bad!)
Fitness – 25 Weeks Pregnant
I had a pretty good fitness week, no complaints! Except that I went back to use my Aaptiv app, it was definitely not as challenging as the E & E workouts. I’m really impressed how they have maintained my fitness over the last 2.5 months compared to if I had used the Aaptiv maternity program the whole time. (Code Hungryhobby10 to get a discount on any of the Expecting and Empowered Guides.) I can’t believe I only have two more weeks left to complete the second-trimester guide!
