Today, Mr. Hungry and I celebrate 8 years together, we’ve been married four years but together 8.
So instead of Friday Favorites, I’m going to do an anniversary Friday Favorites edition. I know, vomit fest, but the recipe will be back Monday I promise!
It isn’t perfect but I love how open and honest we are. My MIL actually told me that she envied the fact that we are so naturally open in our communication style. I took that as a huge compliment considering they have been happily married for almost 30 years! Obviously, we aren’t perfect but I am grateful that we are so open and honest with each other on a regular basis.
It’s the little thing like when he tells me when I don’t look great in something, I love that. He values and asks for my opinion too, except on his beard…. ha ha you can’t win them all!
We both love to explore new restaurants in town and everywhere we go. It’s a fun thing to love!
Fitness is a huge part of our relationship, we encourage and motivate each other all the time. We also support each other during injuries. I literally couldn’t imagine how much worse my injuries would have been without his support. We also keep our vacations super active with lots of outdoor activities which I couldn’t imagine any other way!
We bring out the silly in each other and laugh a lot all the time. Some guys are sarcastic funny but Mr. Hungry is silly funny like me, which I love. I’m naturally goofy, I feel totally myself around him. Sometimes we spend entire weekends like we never stopped laughing, it’s crazy. My abs literally hurt at the end from laughing so hard.
This is great for us but can sometimes be bad. We almost always book travel last minute and head out of town on a get away shortly after. I’ve mentioned before that I love our spontaneity but we do have to be careful we don’t get carried away without thinking things through.
Our relationship is hardly every dull or boring. We both have super strong personalities which I’m sure you can guess gets us into trouble sometimes, but I wouldn’t have it any other way because it’s anything but boring.
I mean, of course, feisty kitty and my gentle giant. Missy has been with us since 2010 and Nala is two.
