I woke up HANGRY today, so hungry I was nauseous…. not a fun way to wake up at 4:30 am with pup pup. My mental rule is that it has to be 5am before I get out of bed for her, but I got out of bed at 4:30 let her out then listened to her whine for 30 minutes while we tried to sleep. So, by 5 am I was up and taking her on a walk.
I know Nala… I was thinking it’s pretty early too…. when I got back I was really hungry and wanted a quest bar, but decided to opt for “real food instead.” I made up some turkey bacon which was fun to snack on while it cooked and eventually added to pieces to a piece of almond bread with ketchup.
I went into to work to do some admin stuff before spin class, I ate a UCAN bar before spin. I totally forgot to take pictures of spin, oh well!
After spin I went down and sat in the sauna for 10 minutes which felt ah-mazing! That should have been my #30daysofHWOL picture for today but I wasn’t smart enough to snap one. (PS #30daysofHWOL is a lifetime campaign throughout the month of June in which members are eligible to win prizes like a garmin vivoactive or pansonic massage chair!)
For lunch I was craving an old favorite…. egg white pancake with coconut peanut butter.
And what it really looked like while I ate it…
Then I made Mr. Hungry more protein balls and ate an outlandish amount of peanut butter in the process… so much so I kind of ruined my appetite for the rest of the day…
Whoops! Since then I’ve snacked on some cherries and broccoli before I decided to make a smoothie with berries, cashew butter, 1/2 scoop protein, and a yogurt. It was delicious, taste like froyo!
Okay not the clearest pictures in the entire world sorry, I need to not be lazy and go outside to take the pictures. Post dinner snacks I could have done without were 1/2 of piece of salmon burger and a handful of brown rice chips. Whenever I eat when I’m not really hungry I kind of try to think what drives it. I noticed that whenever the hubby asks me what I accomplished that day or if he starts talking about the next day that’s when I get really overwhelmed next thing I know I’ll be in the fridge with a spoon casually looking for the peanut butter. Noticing it is the first step to getting of that bad habit.
Tomorrow is a busy day on the schedule, total body workout planned, a chiropractic appointment, a bunch of labs to review and a full afternoon of appointments. I told Mr. Hungry I want a protein style In and Out for dinner… so already planning my weekend 🙂
