Hello Monday, you’re moving faster than usual aren’t you?
I hope you had a wonderful Cinco De Mayo and Mother’s Day!. My mom and I decided to combine the two holidays on Saturday night and went out for Mexican Food and margaritas at a local place called Manuels in Phoenix
I asked the guy what the difference was between the skinny margarita and the rest of them and he said more tequila less sugar int he skinny version… um not sure if that was true but that’s what I got!
Let’s back up to the start of the weekend though. Sorry no post on Friday, it flew by and before I knew what was happening it was 5pm and I was in line at Costco.
As you guys know we started to do dog training Friday nights, I know you are envious and wish you could train Nala at 6pm on a Friday night but that special little treat is reserved for Mr. Hungry and I! The good news was it wasn’t nearly as hard as last week. Not only does she have her heel and sit down, but she is apparently a rock star at stay, she was the only pup that could drop her leash during the training. I’ve been showing off some of her hand shakes and tricks on snapchat recently.
Saturday morning was spent at a local health fair, I gave out recipes and tips for picking out a protein bar.
Mr. Hungry was gone with his Grandma when I got back so I watched two episodes of Call the Midwife on Netflix before heading back out to the gym to knock out and upper body workout and some HIIT intervals. It’s a good one!
Sunday morning all I could think about was how bad I wanted a donut… that pretty much happens to me once a year so I asked Mr. Hungry to take me to get the best donut he knew of after church. He took me to BOSU donuts, I mean moms with furrballs for children deserve a treat too right?
Check out Mr. Hungry’s Bacon Maple donut, ha ha, BACON LOVERS UNITE

It’s been a little while since I reported what is going on the fitness front. I’m still dong my 6 day training split which I love! This week my goal is to get in 20 to 30 minutes of HIIT after every strength workout. Did you know strength training before your cardio helps up the calorie burn, lift those weights people!!!!

In other news, Mr. Hungry hired me as his trainer. It’s okay, I’ve only been in the fitness industry for a year and a half now, he finally trusts me…. I’ll be sure to let you guys know how it goes! Now it’s back to the Monday blitz – I’ve got photos to take, posts to write, a business review for my esteemed business advisor Mr. Hungry, client appointments to summarize, papers to grade and group fitness to teach this evening. It’s a lot of different stuff but I wouldn’t have it any other way. All I have to say is….
What is your favorite part about Monday? What about your least favorite part?
My favorite part is the possibilities to get so much stuff done. However, when I have something fun to look forward to for the weekend it kind of stinks it’s so far away!
[…] Friends! How was your Monday? As you know mine was really busy but good, I wouldn’t have it any other way. Luckily it was a rest day so I could just work away without having to fit in a workout. It’s […]
