Hi friends! Quick weekend and Monday so far recap today before heading out to get a cortisone shot in my bum! ha ha I don’t know about you but to celebrate V-Day we decided to “beat the rush” and go on Friday, plus I had to work Saturday so it worked out. We went to one of our favorite local restaurants Perfect Pear and started with a quesadilla.
For dinner I got my usual Salmon Fall Leaves Salad because it’s too delicious to pass up butternut squash, bacon, goat cheese, salmon, walnuts… yes please!
It was a fun evening, hope you had a good one too!
Saturday was a blur, but Sunday started bright and early with mass. Love this picture of the cross peaking above the building with the clouds in the background.
Mr. Hungry cooked us up a delicious breakfast of Turkey Breakfast Sausage and Kale, with two fried eggs on top… twas amazing! He cooked while I got lunches ready then studied, we make a good team!
Can’t believe he made KALE, I’m so proud! It was a long day of studying and other housework on Sunday which concluded with a nice evening walk for about an hour! Unfortunately that seemed to flare my hip/bum pretty bad, but good news is today is the cortisone shot… so hopefully we will get to the bottom of it.
I’ve done a lot of walking and quick strength workouts which seems to be going well. This morning I had a spoonful of sun butter before fighting with the insurance company to see if the shot would be covered then hitting the gym up for a quick workout/sauna session. Post workout/sauna smoothies are the BEST! Oh how I’ve missed smoothies while it was cold in AZ for three seconds.
Ingredients:
- 1 frozen banana
- bunch of ice
- bunch of spinach
- scoop of chocolate protein powder
- cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 2T PB2 (trying to use it up)
- vanilla sweetleaf drops
Then it was off the chiropractor for a massage and more errands, anyone elses day off turn into errand central? Lunch was DELICIOUS egg over 1/2 piece of multi-grain sourdough from TJ’s, scrambled egg whites and deli chicken, plus leftover roasted brussel sprouts!
Whew! Now we are caught up and I’m off to the Docs to see about this bursitis, wish me luck! 🙂
