So since I shared Mr. Hungry’s meal plan for this week, I thought it would be fun to share what kind of meals we ended up with. First a little recap of my evening… I was SLAMMED at work and missed my lunchtime treadmill walk which had me even more stressed. So I quickly changed for Hot Yoga and grabbed a handful of Coconut Sugar Lemon Almonds to eat on a short walk.
Walking in pants in Arizona in August wasn’t the best idea…. but I figured I’d be sweating in Hot Yoga anyways right?
While I was at Hot Yoga Mr. Hungry grilled up two steaks (from Sprouts 100% grassfed and organic).
They turned out red from the chula sauce he used to marinate them in #deliciouslysaltyspicy
Once I got home from Hot Yoga I showered really quick and then quickly sauteed some diced onion, shredded cabbage, and shredded carrot in avocado oil. I seasoned it with taco seasoning and then added salsa to the mix.
Mr. Hungry made tacos with corn tortillas for his meal. For mine, I put the cabbage mix in a bowl and sprinkled it with tortilla chips and reduced fat cheddar (about a tablespoon of each) and the steak!
I finally gave in at TJ’s and bought their dark chocolate peanut butter cups, which are pretty much the most amazing thing I’ve ever had, so that’s what I had for dessert!
Now I’m half blogging half watching TV. I’m definitely wishing I could get in a workout tomorrow morning but thinking it will make for a more stressful than not morning and I’d better wait till the evening. whomp whomp oh well!
Who cooks in your house? Is it a team effort, do you switch off, or is it one person?
- Mr. Hungry usually works till late so usually I’m done cooking by the time he gets home, or on the nights he plays basketball we kind of do our own easy things like smoothies or eggs. Most likely he will have to work late at his new job too, so after this week it will probably go back to me doing most of the cooking. I’m enjoying the team effort in the kitchen in the meantime though!
[…] I felt a lot better after my walk, plus dinner was ready when I got home so it was a double win. Oh ya and it was DELICIOUS! Mr. Hungry seasoned it by topping it with BBQ sauce, he such a smart cookie. We had some leftover broccoli in the fridge so I had mine with broccoli. Mr. Hungry also had some steak leftovers from Monday. […]
