Hey everyone, how did your Tuesday go? Mine was pretty A-Ok considering there were no stalled semi’s this morning on the freeway. I started my day off with some good old green goodness.
While I was making it the coffee pot flicked on and started brewing (after only two days of use I am still in deep appreciate of the auto program single serve features), I added a splash (or two or three) of light egg nog from TJ’s in my coffee, grabbed my packed breakfast/lunch and headed out the door. I’ve never been into egg nog before, but I tasted a sip of Paul’s the other night and thought how yummy it would be to put in coffee. I was right, and so are a million other people that love it, it was delicious.
Once I got to work I prepped for interviews were having all day and about an hour later had breakfast. I microwaved, another yummy Acorn Squash and Nut Butter combo, this time topped with dried cranberries (which I enjoyed 10 times more than the pumpkin seeds.)
Yesterday it didn’t hold me over very well, but today it was fine! I sipped my delicious egg nog coffee as we did interviews all morning then we broke for lunch. I was definitely a little disappointed to see that my turkey meat had grown blue mold spots. That’s the downside to buying preservative meat in bulk I guess, no nitrates but you might get some mold.
I salvaged enough turkey to still have a decent salad. Should I have salvaged it? Probably not, got to walk on the wild side sometimes I guess. Along with the moldy turkey, the salad had goat cheese, almonds and dried cherries.
Not going to lie, after a little bit I started to rethink my decision making skills and got a little grossed out by the turkey. Still kind of grossed out but needing to be full till after work, I grabbed a greek yogurt from my lunch box.
Around 4pm I snacked on some carrots while I finished up some last minute stuff.
When I got home I ate a little pre- crossfit snack of homemade cranberry pumpkin bread and crunchy peanut butter.
Then I check the rest of the turkey, turns out the “mold” was just blue permanent marking from me writing the date on the zip lock baggy. #dumbblonde #lunchfail #doh That just shows you how your mind can really play tricks on you, because I actually felt sick….
Anyways, crossfitt my first ever “Karen” WOD, 150 Wall Balls followed by 1000 meter row. I finished “Karen” in 9:52 with a 10lb ball by doing sets of 10 and taking a 10 second rest, 15 times. I finished the row in 5:11. My plan is to deviate from my 2 week plan and hit up crossfitt tomorrow morning at 5:30am, we will see how sore I am!
