I’ve had some back pain this week, well I feel it mostly in my midback and ribs. I went to the chiro last week and that helped a lot but it came back with a vengeance the last couple of days. I was laying awake because I couldn’t sleep because of the burning in my ribs and mid back/shoulder when I realized this is the same issue I had in Jan of 2017.
My chiropractor was treating it as a shoulder issue for two months before deciding it was a QL issue, I started incorporating farmers carries and a few other functional movements and it was gone. Most people feel QL issues in their low back, but I feel it at the top of the muscle on the lowest rib (its a muscle that runs from your rib to your pelvis, see quadratus lumborum) and it’s very common for the QL to become angry in pregnancy because it’s actually a very deep abdomen muscle. I’ve already started incorporating some of those old exercises and doing less sitting which is helping to manage it. Seeing Dr. K today which should help as well.
Most days I also got in a 2-3 mile walk with Nala and sometimes Mr. Hungry, so I feel pretty solid about that!

Food
I’ve shared some meals on IG stories this week, that’s how you know this area is going better. But I’m thinking about cutting this section from Friday’s for now, what do think? Just save it for my pregnancy updates? Is this getting boring?
I did have some chipotle yesterday which was DIVINE. I thought I was over Chipotle after it being my only source of nutrition (read the only salad) in the first trimester. Turns out it can still hit the spot!
I’ve also enjoyed some random oldies but goodies this week, like smoothies:
On Memorial Day we went to Crackers and I got enough food to feed me for literally four meals ha ha:

Okay so here is a funny story from the week, if you saw me laughing on IG stories like a crazy woman it was because I accidentally won HQ. I got to split $5 grand with 3 thousand people. I’m still laughing, I still think it’s hysterical because I never get past question 2 the fact that I made it to 12 is almost unbelievable.
Another favorite is our new table. Well, it’s an old table that was repainted using chalk paintand now it actually matches the space, especially the expensive cabinets we put in when we first moved in. I’m so excited about how it turned out! I need to take some better pictures in a better light and show you guys the whole space. I just need to get a few signs to finish off my coffee nook and then I will.
We’ve actually done quite a few home decorating projects in the last few weeks. Mr. Hungry is totally in home upgrading mode pre-baby and I don’t hate it!
I thought this article on foods to help you sleep better was worth a read this week, everyone can use better sleep right?

Chiptole always hits the spot for me, but I understand during pregnancy allllll of that changes! Hope your back and shoulders are feeling better soon.

When I first read that I thought you said you got to split 5k with 3 people….splitting amongst 3k is still a win though. Hope you have a good weekend!

Those mini donuts looks amazing! But I have to ask, is there an idea or strategic reason for making them small?
By the way, I also really like Chipotle 😛
