Fitness
I’ve had up and downs this week with fitness as usual. I just keep going, keep doing what I can do, keep slowly trying things. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t, but as long as I can run I’m mostly happy.
Many of you are asking what exercises I’m doing for my SI joint. First, keep in mind there are a million reasons why your SI joint could hurt and that my issue is related to tailbone/pelvic floor (so awesome, NOT) so it’s the bottom of my SI joint, SUPER LOW. Second, my exercises are really unique because I see a DNS provider, I could not explain them well if I tried. If you have unresolved chronic pain, I highly recommend finding a DNS provider.
Thursday (1/25)
3 mile walk with pup
1-mile run (broken into two .5 mile runs)
3 rounds of this set:
- deep bodyweight squats x 10
- 100 jump rope
- 20 jacks with weight
- weighted dead bugs
- 24 step ups (12 each)
- 12 x chest press (25# each)
Wednesday (1/24)- off + 3 mile walk with pup + Trimotus
Tuesday (1/23) –
3 mile walk with pup
.5 mile run
set 1 x 3 rounds
- TRX Row
- Push Ups on knees (still working on retraining back)
- weighted dead bugs
.5 mile run
set 2 x 3 rounds
- TRX Y’s and T’s
- Chest Press
- TRX Squat Jumps
.5 mile run
Set 3 x 3 rounds
- Lat Pull Downs x 10 (#70lbs)
- Tricep Overhead Pulls
- Row and Throw x 10#
Monday (1/22)
I keep working this circuit in because it works for me and I know it’s safe!

A crappy upper body circuit, but at least it was something.
Friday (1/19)
Each circuit for 7 minutes x 2

- lunges with bicep curl

Food
Still working on bringing down my caffeine consumption, I’m down to 2 ounces of caffeinated coffee and 8 ounces decaf in the morning. Yes, I’m hanging onto that 2 ounces like my life depended on it ha ha
Caffeine detox = not for the faint of heart. It’s been BAD, I fall asleep typing at my computer. Checked my iron levels last week, they are fine, it’s straight up the caffeine detox kicking my ass every day. It makes me never want to drink coffee again. But then I get the evil voice in the back of my head that says “oh but you will my precious, you will.”
In the afternoon I’ve been drinking a cup of green tea, it helps a little.
I recorded on Monday – kind of ha ha
for breakfast I had 2 eggs and a brown rice tortilla for like three days this week before deciding I hate this messy breakfast. breakfast FAIL
After my workout I Nala and I went on a long walk with a friend and her 3 month old baby!
For lunch, I had a taco salad – recipe coming soon!
Afternoon snacks included the last of my batch of morning glory muffins for seed cycling
I also had a yogurt and granola
For dinner, I made my sheet pan brats recipe and snapped a few photos to share on FB and with the WTE? Meal Plan subscribers FB group!

I like the looks of your Coconut Chai Tea. I use the same hopeful swap in the afternoon. Sometimes the smell of a sweetly spiced tea does fail and I reach for the sweets anyhow.
