Hi, friends! Another week bites the dust! Sorry I couldn’t pop in for Friday Favorites last week. By the time I could get to it was past noon on Saturday. I figured that’s 3 pm Eastern, and nobody will want to read it by then! I had a preschool cold that took me literally three weeks to kick. That thing seriously hung around.
But I’m glad I’m finally feeling better, and I’ve been catching up on some things on the back end, which is why I haven’t had many posts! But this week, I restocked a lot of household supplies and beauty stuff that I thought I would share with you. Plus, a couple of other random things! So, since it’s already noon again, I better get after publishing this post!

Chipotle Mobile Orders
After I teach one day a week, I’ve been hitting up chipotle. It’s like a reward. Which I get on the mobile app, the other day I had a free one!
Amazon Kids Puffer Jacket
This puffer vest came highly recommended to me by a friend that lives in DC. She said the jacket fits true to size and is a great value. We wouldn’t get a chance to wear them that much since it’s so hot here, but I thought I’d share them with you guys!
Clean People Fresh and Clean Fabric Softener Dryer Sheets
I stopped using dryer sheets for a long time because of the number of chemicals and dyes. But Mr. Hungry really wanted something to freshen up our non-delicates which contain his sweat-soaked basketball clothes. For a long time, we used Seventh Generation, but these Clean People have a better rating on EWG and smell way better! Plus, the laundry is much softer. If you are looking for a cleaner alternative to dry sheets, they are a great idea!
Everyone Brand Lotion
For a long time, I used coconut oil as a moisturizer, but during my last pregnancy, the coconut oil started to irritate my skin. Now, I use the Everyone unscented lotion on the kids and myself now for a couple of years. It has the EWG certification and is unscented. While I sometimes miss the divine scents of bath and body works lotions, I know that too much fragrance (even essential oils) are endocrine disrupters (meaning throw your hormones out of balance.) What I love about this lotion is that even though it’s coconut oil based, it doesn’t leave you feeling oily. I can put it on at night and go for a walk in 95F-degree heat the next day and not feel disgustingly oily. Sweaty, yes. Oily, no.
Foldable Baby Gate
I’ve bought three of these baby gates, most recently for my in-law’s house. They look nice, fold down for easy storage and transport, plus they’re sturdy. Highly recommend it if you’re in need of a baby gate!
Fitness
Finally got back on the workout train this week, and it felt oh-so-good until I felt oh-so sore. I made the mistake of jumping back into a lower body working with zero modifications after a three-week fitness break. To say I’ve been sore this week is an understatement. But I’m still grateful for the chance to move my body! There is nothing more empowering than lifting weights. It took me years to love it the way I do now. Many triumphs lifting the heaviest I’ve ever done, just to have to start over. But I’ve never loved my body more or felt strong than when I started lifting. So, that’s where my focus was this week as I got back into things!
