Happy Monday!!!!!! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good, I didn’t take a lot of pictures because it was pretty laid back. We spend Friday night hanging out with my SIL for her birthday. She wanted Gyro’s from Gyro Express, I got a delicious chicken salad! I also had some pita bread and hummus, and some of Paul’s Gyro meat. Yuuuuummmm!
And these White Chocolate Lemon Cookies! (Yes, I’m still doing Sugar Free September—> see my week’s recap here. I thought the cookie was super sweet and I was satisfied sooner than I used to be! Motivation to keep going!)
Saturday is my rest day so I hung out at the house and got a lot of work done while Mr. Hungry went golfing. Sent in my paperwork for my LLC, big step and I’m excited! I also went to the run store…. AGAIN. We’ve been going to Saturday night mass lately and loving our Sunday mornings free to workout.
Running
Friday morning I went to the gym and had the final straw with my new ASICS. My hip hurt the ENTIRE 4 mile run on the treadmill and by the end the outside of my foot was getting painful. I went back to the run store and switched them out AGAIN for Brooks Adrenalines (because that is what I had last year). I’m so confused because for a while I was running with NO pain in neutral shoes with no inserts, but then the hip/SI joint pain came back. Apparently my pronation came back too, so I switched to some really stable ASICS shoes. Those didn’t really workout at all, I’m a little nervous I should have switched into something middle of the road between neutral and stability instead of the Adrenalines (super stable.)
Sunday Morning I headed out to test run my new Brooks Adrenalines. The test run went okay, not great, but okay. I did 3 miles in 3.08 miles in 29:43. I didn’t have any pain that prevented me from running so that was good, the problem is that it usually shows up around mile 3.5 to 4ish. It went well enough for me to sign up for a 10K in a month or so though!
While I stretched Missy went crazy playing with my flip flop. I thought dogs were suppose to be shoe obsessed, not cats. Some members of my family think that she looks like she has a lazy eye, maybe it’s a Mother’s love but I don’t see it.
After my stretching a bit I went upstairs to lift some weights with Mr. Hungry, I’ll have to share our sets we’ve been doing soon. The more I practice dips, push ups, and tucks the better I get… but it makes me want to go back to CrossFit soooo bad!
Until then, how about some planks???? I did this workout after I did a 15Minute Plyometric AMRAMP last Thursday, it was a good one!
Hope you have a fantastic Monday!

This is a truly awesome and effective workout! How often do you suggest doing it per week, Kelli?
